Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

My whanau thoroughly enjoyed their visit, the space is clean & tidy. Close to shops & restaurants.

The house was comfortable and inviting. Felt like a lived-in home and felt like we could totally make ourselves at home there. There was everything we needed throughout. Would very much recommend.

A beautiful house in a lovely location with views over the hills and trees. Such uplifting scenery to wake up to. The house is on the outskirts of Wellington in Thorndon which has its own great bars shops and restaurants. Easy walking distance to central Wellington. Close to the stunning Botanical gardens and the cable car. Fantastically equipped house with special treats like ground coffee, milk and a bottle of wine. We had a very happy and memorable stay here.

Guy was friendly and communicative and went above and beyond for our elderly parents who were visiting. The accommodations were lovely and clean. Highly recommend.

Lovely quiet location but close enough to enjoy the CBD. It’s a new build which is great for cold days (yay double glazing!), and we were happy to be able to bring our four legged friend along!

We had a wonderful couple of days - we didn't know Wellington at all and were worried that the noise may be bad from the airport but it was very quiet and only a couple of times noticed planes coming and going. It was great having off-street parking and we we super comfortable in our rooms and very cosy. Had a lovely walk down at the end of the street. All in all a great place to be. Would definitely visit here again! Thank you Steph for sharing your lovely home.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved our time here. It really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed and Kate was quick to respond to any questions. Loved all of the birdlife and the walks to cable car and botanical gardens. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Wellington.

Alex is friendly, he always respond quickly to my queries. The house was very clean and accommodating, and the instructions given are very clear. We had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home. It would be best if Alex’s dogs were at the house too😄

Great home and location for our seven guests. Plenty of space with enough bedding, living space, and other amenities. Very helpful host with last minute questions and changes, and good communications throughout

Beautiful and peaceful and wroth every penny. Perfect for anyone who loves horses. The unit is well equipped and the bed is fantastically comfortable. We also went horse riding. Andrew and Laura were very accommodating and it was a great experience. We will be back.

Lovely renovated, clean home, beautifully furnished, lots of space (including outside) and fantastic location. Host was very responsive, and accommodating. We recently arrived to New Zealand and this was a perfect base to explore Wellington and surrounding areas from. Would recommend to anyone needing a spacious home with easy access to the region.

Not only is the home beautiful, peaceful, and close to plenty of hikes and restaurants, Tāne is a spectacular host. He welcomed us when we arrived and was always responsive. We he had to pop in for the occasional bit of maintenance, he was always kind enough to work around my daughter’s nap schedule. The location is great— 20 walk down to the Brooklyn Shops (3 min drive), bus stop just down the street, and accessible to a number of hiking trails. The street itself is less densely packed than the rest of Brooklyn and there is off-street parking, which I’ve discovered is a rarity here! You can’t beat the view— harbor AND ocean. The house was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We couldn’t have picked a better place to land as we started our new life in Welly!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Don and Deb’s! They are very friendly and helpful hosts, and their place is stunning and right by the beach. Can’t recommend it enough!!

We had a wonderful stay here. Our kids were really entertained by the creek to play in, wildlife to watch, hot tub and glowworms. It was cosy and quaint. The space is beautifully basic, has everything you need and is comfortable. The bathroom is a little bit of a schlep up the hill but that was fine for us. We really loved our time here and are already planning a return trip. Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely spot

Great location across from the bay, few minutes drive to Island Bay. House is clean, modern and warm. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you could want. 5 stars in every category from me
