We had a late check in, which wasn’t a problem. While small, the apartment was exactly what we required for two nights. Central location.

We loved staying here, it had everything we needed for a weekend stay, and was spotlessly clean. It was also helpful to have a garage so we didn’t have to find street parking. Also in a lovely green area where we could hear native birds while walking around. Would stay here again

We have stayed hundreds of holiday rentals and without doubt this is a solid 5-star ppty. The ppty was super clean, amazing floor plan, all the required amenities plus much more, comfortable furniture of the highest quality and our lovely host Ruby includes various sweet delights. The decor is 5-star and it's obvious that our host is totally focused on presenting a high standard which is a credit to her professionalism and attention to detail. We firmly rate this ppty and our host Ruby a solid 5-stars but without the 5-star price. This ppty and host shoots up to one of our top 5 rentals we have booked over many years of travel. Thank you Ruby! We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this ppty and host to all.

Thanks to all the previous guests and reviewers who persuaded us to make the wise decision to make the booking at Karaka Cottage. It's hard to add much more to what you all wrote. The opportunity to stay here shouldn't be missed. Rob and Jill have perfectly updated a 1950's cottage into a contemporary dream while maintaining its history. And on top of that they organised 2 weeks of beautiful weather while the rest of the island was dealing with a cyclone.

Beautiful and peaceful and wroth every penny. Perfect for anyone who loves horses. The unit is well equipped and the bed is fantastically comfortable. We also went horse riding. Andrew and Laura were very accommodating and it was a great experience. We will be back.

I booked Joe’s place on behalf of my parents who were visiting from Scotland. From the moment I booked I knew my parents would be in good hands. The comms with Joe were super friendly, proactive and helpful. My folks absolutely loved their stay and found it perfect for their needs. Really clean and cosy, hosts are wonderful as well. Would recommend to stay for anyone catching the ferry as it is in a super convenient location near the port.
