Theresa the co-host went out of her way to maintain communication with me. At any point I wanted to give her updates or ask any questions she was only a phone call away. I felt super welcomed and safe. She stocked the house with all of your basic food needs. There was a surplus of kitchen supplies to make a home cooked meal. Parking at the well and hiking up to the cabin with my belongings was quite a challenge It's about 65 steps. Once up there I took full advantage of the Hottub. I recommend to any guests to bring their own hammock to enjoy swinging in the front porch and listening to the creek. I recommend wearing hiking shoes to go up to the cabin. I absolutely recommend getting to the cabin way before dark, and if unable bring your own headlamps and flashlights. Be hyper prepared if you've never been into isolated wilderness like that. This little cabin was in a gorgeous location! Right next to the snow tubing and not far from grandfather mountain! The views from the hot tub were amazing! Brought our two dogs and they loved it! The patio with the hot tub was fenced in so the dogs were able to hang with us while we were relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely would recommend and plan to come back!

We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed the front yard for all day sledding! The house was spacious - perfect for our four families! Most importantly, the hosts were super friendly and responsive to any questions we had! We will definitely be back to enjoy the river in the summer!!

Will was a great host and very responsive. His home was beautiful, had great amenities and most importantly clean and taken care of! Most will need 4x4 to get up and down the driveway especially it has snowed or is icy.

We had a great time at the cabin, it was very convenient to blowing rock where we hung out the most. We loved the hot tub! We use the kitchen to cook breakfast every morning, it had everything we needed. The cabin was very cozy and my little one loved the bed in the loft. The winding roads were a little scary at times and there is a neighbor very close by, but we really didn’t see them at all. We wished it had a mountain view that is OK, we were able to see lots of views on our ventures out.

I absolutely loved my stay with Nancy. One of one host and experience. Stunning property! She was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful. We had a wonderful time talking with her and learning about the area and her property. Her home was gorgeous and full of places to explore and things to do. I'll definitely be returning and taking pottery lessons next time!

This was, by far, the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever had. I’m talking not a speck of dust - not even in the corners of the basement bathroom, folks! We booked Janice’s place last minute from a hotel after finding our original rental was inaccessible. She was gracious enough to allow early check in and welcomed our dogs without exorbitant fees. The location is quiet and peaceful yet central to everything. Beds were comfortable (dog bed included 🥰) and everything was simple & smooth, which meant a lot after the debacle we’d been through. Janice is a host who has gone the extra mile. Her place is incredibly well maintained and you’ll want for nothing. If you are looking for a rental where you can truly relax, this is the one. I only wish we’d booked this as our original choice so we could’ve enjoyed it longer. Would stay here again and again, 5 stars doesn’t begin to do it justice 💛

My husband and I stayed for a month at the house and absolutely loved it. It was peaceful and beautiful with the music of a rushing streamf filling the house everyday when we opened up the French doors. It was refreshing to see that the house actually matched all of the photos and the amenities that were listed. It was great to have a grocery store and a restaurant within 15 minutes of the house. we loved it so much. we're going to come back again next year.

It was amazing being right at the AT as well as walkable to Artisun cafe and easily accessible to downtown. We squeezed in 7 people and were just fine for the weekend. It just takes a little food planning with a small fridge and no stove, but between the grill, instant pot, and toaster oven we were just fine. It was a very sweet little space to spend our weekend!

My friend and I absolutely love staying at Elizabeth’s place. Very quiet and private. Jason and his son were very sweet bringing fresh chicken eggs for sale for both of us. We were so excited we loved walking around the property. It’s private and quiet looking at the peaceful pond, we will definitely stay here again

The bed is amazing and location is walkable to restaurants, shops and university. Earthfare is close for groceries, etc. Denise is friendly and responsive and finding the place is a straight shot when arriving to Boone. Parking is easy and convenient to right into the cottage. Everything you need is in the house and spotless.

Our stay at Anne's house was simply amazing. She is the perfect host, always responsive, helpful, accommodating whenever possible, willing to answer questions, and the home itself was absolutely perfect! Every single person in our group returned raving about the house and how perfect it was for our weekend of skiing.

We enjoyed the time at this location. Was very clean and nice. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We were able to really rest and relax on porch in the evenings after a day of adventure. Overall great place and great time

This was our second time staying at Pat’s home and once again it was the perfect option for our family. It’s located perfectly so that we can visit with family in Rhea Valley and Mountain City while also exploring Damascus, hiking on the AT and rambling in the local creeks. It’s was easy to get to Shady Valley to go hiking and to explore Backbone Rock. Having Food City two minutes away is really nice, the dogs love the big fenced yard and we LOVED sitting out on the front porch drinking coffee, reading books and relaxing with the neighbors all out on their front porches. Again…it’s the perfect home for our family!

Absolutely stunning views. We had everything we needed to stay cozy when the winter storm came. The location is fabulous and very easy to get to the local restaurants. The condo was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the shuffleboard table while watching the snow fall.

A pristine home in an amazing private community. Full equipped with kitchen, bath, and extras. Always great recommendations and responsive to questions. Highly recommend for families that enjoy nature and privacy.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

Nice house but well maintained. In a gated community which is a plus and access in and out was super easy. In walking distance to an upscale/famous restaurant. In strong proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock with a very quick drive to the Parkway.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here. Be sure to enjoy the most stunning sunrises and sunsets from the balcony.

This was a perfect little getaway for my family to enjoy a weekend together. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
