Tom's Retreat is the perfect place for a relaxing staycation/vacation for couples/ groups of 7. It features no-step, handicap assess ability with an abundance of desirable amenities. Located just 10-20 minutes (just off Hwy 5/65) from virtually "everywhere" you might want to visit, you may find yourself staying put in the beautiful park-like setting, enjoying the covered patio & grill, retreating to a game of chess, or feasting on a home cooked meal in the fully stocked gourmet kitchen instead.

The Hen House

The wonderfully remodeled home based on 55 acres overlooking mature trees and a large pond. The house has 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. Laundry is available to use as well. Kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking enjoyment and a gas grill is offered as well to use. This house is perfect for families, small groups, or business trips. Situated just 20 minutes from Des Moines airport, and 25 minutes from downtown Des Moines, you will be able to experience the quiet and beautiful scenery to enjoy.

Charming Waterfront Tiny House & Sauna

The true definition of rest & relaxation, this unique tiny house is situated on a three-acre pond suitable for catch and release fishing, kayaking, or stand up paddle boarding. Bring your gear and leave your worries behind. Built with special touches and details including stained glass windows and intricate woodwork, this tiny home boasts warmth throughout. Wake up to bird songs and coffee with the sunrise. After a day of fun, take a soak in the wood-burning sauna and relax by the campfire.

The Orchard Inn

A walk out lower level apartment in a family friendly neighborhood, with a fully fenced in yard and beautiful flowers and foliage to enjoy. Located 1 block from the National Balloon Museum, 6 blocks from Simpson College and close to Golf course, Bike trails , Walmart and Hy Vee. This space features private entry, a comfortable king bed/large bedroom and an extra single bed plus a 2nd single mattress option available on request. Enjoy a full size Fridge, Dishwasher and Washer / Dryer.

Cozy Loft South of Pleasantville

Escape to the countryside with a stay in our charming lofted studio, attached to our family home and nestled on a peaceful farm just 10 minutes from Pleasantville, Iowa. This cozy retreat offers a private studio-style space perfect for a quiet getaway We’re just 15-20 minutes from Knoxville and the famous Knoxville Raceway, making this an ideal spot for race fans. A short drive will also take you to Pella for the stunning Tulip Time Festival or to Des Moines for the iconic Iowa State Fair.

The airport is under 20 minutes away and multiple stores and restaurants available within 10 min. Historic Lustron Home near Indianola Square

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Walking distance to restaurants, brewery, and bars on Indianola's historic square, and Simpson College. Enjoy the quiet patio and private backyard under a shade tree. All kitchen necessities are available to make your stay worry free. (Lustron homes are prefabricated enameled steel homes built post WWII and ended production in 1950. Very few are still in existence that are in near original condition, like this home.)

Country peace

cabin was built for us to live in while our house was being planned and built. cabin is on 5.9 acres. out door tent area with fire pit. BBQ grill and park style grill with picnic table and yard swing. lots of room for walking and watching deer. Central Air and space for parking . cabin has a storm shelter. We are within 5 miles of one of the covered bridges of Madison county. Other covered bridges are close. Other sites, under ground railway house. John Wayne childhood home.

Charming Bungalow in a Great Location!

This 1910 PET FRIENDLY bungalow is full of charm and unique art. Just a couple of blocks to the town square for restaurants and shopping. In the summer you will enjoy the quaint front porch and backyard patio full of colorful flowers nice for outdoor dining. The fenced backyard is perfect for bringing your dog. Small dogs 25 pounds and under require a one time $50 pet fee and dogs larger than that are up for discussion. Close to Buxton Park for scenic walks.
