It was a very quaint place. It felt like I had my own place as there was a small living room. I hope to come back if I need to stay in the area in the future.

Beverly is a fantastic hostess. Not only is the cabin immaculately clean and cozy, it truly feels like it’s your own space. Plenty of fun toys, games, and books to keep kids and adults entertained when spending time in the cabin, though you likely won’t! Her property offers so much outdoor activity. Walks around the property, time spent next to the river and pond, plenty of flowers to admire, and friendly dogs that come and say “hello.” We were lucky and her goats just had kids! Beverly willingly took our child to pet and hold the babies. We loved our stay. Thank you, Beverly!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rick and Christi's Airbnb. The location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful getaway, with direct access to the beautiful sandy beaches of Chesapeake Bay. Whether you’re into water activities, fishing, or just taking quiet walks around the serene neighborhood, this place has it all. One thing to note is that this spot is not for those seeking nearby restaurants or bars because there aren’t any in the vicinity—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our family, including my wife and 14-year-old child, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly hospitality from Christi. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A lovely touch was the fresh jalapeño pepper she gave us, which we’re still using in our meals. Thank you, Christi and Rick, for making our vacation memorable.

Hidden gem! Both the market and the bed and breakfast are amazing. The market has a quant bar and restaurant with great food and drink. It also has normal things you would expect at a market with additional specialty products from local vendors such as goat milk soap, local kombucha and other fun touches. The surrounding town is filled with activities that any history/outdoor enthusiast/wine lover will enjoy. Overall great stay, great communication and individual attention and looking forward to coming back soon!

Autry’s place is quiet and private. It is in a beautiful neighborhood with a lovely wooded backyard that feels like you’re in a forest. Driving along Lee drive to get there is an experience in itself and highly recommended, although you can approach it from the other side too. It is a very clean and comfy place with lots of room. The shower is gorgeous! Just turn the lever a little to get the water as hot as you want. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Josephine's place is an excellent place to stay if you want to be near Carytown. It's located only one block off the main street which is as close as you can get. The apartment was clean and exactly as described. Clear instructions were provided for parking and access and it felt safe to walk around day and night.

We stayed here over spring break with our young kids. Tommy and Janet were very friendly and responsive. The location is great! Literally right across the street from the beach, and close to our all time favorite brewery :) we'd love to come back again in the summer months!

Great stay. Beds were super comfortable, the location was great and the living room and kitchen table were a great place to hang out. We enjoyed having meals on the back deck, under the massive umbrella. One note about the kitchen… we did have to run out and buy a pan that could be cooked in because the provided pans were deeply scratched teflon and very worn. We had to run out a second time to buy disposable aluminum pans to make a casserole, as there wasn’t anything at all that could go in the oven. Those are minor but want to warn others to bring a couple of supplies with them if they will be cooking. Also, the road noise is LOUD. It didn’t really bother us, as we are a used to it but just be prepared, if you don’t like noise. All in all, we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

My family of 4 plus our 2 fur babies had the best time at Julie’s home. The house is beautiful and unique with all the original remnants of wood and brick. It’s clean and very well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities. The pictures don’t do this house justice, honestly. The property is very private. We hardly saw any neighbors. We enjoyed everything the house had to offer, hot tub, couches outside, bathrobes, etc. we appreciated the tea, chocolate, wine and flowers left for us, too. Such a pleasant surprise, really! There are plenty of things to do around in the area. We had a great time. Thank you, Julie, for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home with our entire family.

Let me just say this place was amazing!! The pictures don’t even do it justice! Was a perfect get away that was everything we wanted and more! Felt like we were in the middle of no where and so peaceful! The attention to detail omg! It had literally everything you could think of that you need to unwind and relax. I highly recommend this place to couples to just escape and relax!!

Had a wonderful time with the family, Tammy was a great host! Very responsive and communicative. Definitely a better fit for older kids (the hills 🤣), but Tammy had ALL the essentials for babies to be accommodated and right at home! And the littles loved fishing too. It was an excellent spring break for us!

This house and property is really special. It is a beautifully maintained and renovated old house, and has great views of the woods and the creek. We enjoyed evenings on the beautiful porch taking in the views. The house itself was well appointed and clean, with minimal/essential furnishings. A few other reviews did mention the noise from the highway and it is true—though it did not disturb us except for in the night, when an occasional loud truck might pass. It was a great base for my family and two small dogs to explore the local sights. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful home with a warm feeling as soon you walk in , things to do for the kids such as board games, utensils for drawing and a lot of creative history and antiques to look at throughout the home. Very beautiful and clean stay, made you feel like you’re right at home! Kelly was very responsive to my messages and is a great host was more than happy with my stay during the new years ! Thank you Kelly ! Definitely will be booking again !!!

We had the best stay!! Beautiful house and Dolly and her husband Brendan couldn't have been better. Great communication, always responsive, great local recommendations, AND Brendan even came and personally mowed the property for us- after their lawn crew didn't make it out before our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked and a great space to cook family meals. We also loved that they provided many of the basics- hand/dish soaps, dishwasher tabs, TidePods (which we didn't use, but nice to know they had if we needed) etc. We felt right at home! Only thing to mention is you can hear traffic out front from the nearby highway, but you'd never know once you're out back.. and it wouldn't stop us from visiting again!

My wife and I had a great time visiting Northern Virginia. Emanuel is an exceptional host who made sure our stay was pleasant and safe. We will gladly come back if we return to the area.

My daughter and I had a great stay. I didn't see the negative that was posted in other reviews. Very cozy and simple place; the only negative is based on my personality. I like to know in advance check-out procedures to execute how the sponsor wishes—plenty of close-by activities and close enough to the beach. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

There are several highlights of Michelle's Airbnb. First of all, it's clean and quiet. I am a light sleeper and very sensitive to noise, dirt, and heat. But I slept quite well and felt safe and comfortable. Second, it is well furnished, equipped, and decorated. Michelle likes gardening and I enjoyed reading and having my breakfast and dinner in the small yard (who can miss the nice weather in Virginia?!). The commute is also easy-I was here for research and it only took me 1 hour to get to Library of Congress by bus and metro. Harris Teeter, CVS, and some good Latino restaurants are also within walking distance. But the biggest highlight is Michelle herself! She is so welcoming and accommodating. Kitchen and pantry are very accessible. She also allowed me to use her TV to watch subscribed channels. I was happy to make friends with her dog Buck. I would say my experience here is beyond my expectation. I felt so much blessed living here. Trust me-you won't regret booking it!
