Castle Loft, Central Wallingford

Wallingford was once home to one of the strongest and most important castles in England. In 1067 William the Conqueror instructed the building of the castle on his way to London to take the throne. In 1502 Henry VIII inherited the castle. On 17 November 1652 Cromwell’s Council of State ordered its demolition, making way for this newly built loft apartment within the castle boundary. The Coach house is a cosy retreat on our farm. A king-sized bed and beautiful linens add a romantic feel to the bedroom and throughout the property a traditional style has been retained offering comfort and quality. Surrounded by the pretty South Oxfordshire countryside. The Farm has footpath links to walks on the Ridgeway and is situated just outside the historic town of Wantage. White Horse Hill is just a short drive away as are the many attractions of Oxford which is just 12 miles away.

Ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and minutes away from Burford and Jeremy Clarkson's pub, the Farmer’s Dog. Perfectly positioned to visit Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bibury. 6 miles from RAF Brize Norton. Using non-toxic household products where possible and putting sustainability at the forefront by using refillable bottles.

Garden studio annexe with separate kitchen and bathroom. Sleeps up to 4 (double bed and sofa beds). Essentials provided. Enjoy a break in Chipping Norton, 2 minutes from town with ample pubs, restaurants and independent shops. 5 minutes into lovely countryside walks. Small outside area is enclosed with barrier type fence panels. Bus services from Oxford, Cheltenham and Banbury, many local attractions. Check out by 10am and check in from 3pm. There are 3 steps down to the annexe.

This beautiful and cosy property offers the perfect blend of comfort and tranquillity, whilst being within easy reach to some of the main attractions and sights in the Cotswolds. We can accommodate up to 3 adults and 1 baby in a travel cot. We are also dog friendly!

Symonds Barn is a spacious converted barn set in the middle of Childrey, a village on the edge of the Ridgeway, only 15 miles from Oxford. Choose between enjoying an escape to the countryside, with delicious meals in one of the many local cafes and pubs and walks through some really beautiful countryside (it’s a 5 minute drive onto the Ridgeway), or take advantage of the nearby shopping and culture in Oxford, Marlborough, Hungerford or Burford.

Quiet self contained annex

Fully functional self contained annex for single occupancy (located in close proximity to family house) but in a quiet location with lovely views across fields and no disturbance from main residence. Secure off road parking with latest kitchen facilities for those that want to cook or a nice local pub/restaurant in walking distance for those that don't. (Unable to offer long term lets or double occupancy)

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds in the Windrush Valley, our guest house is set at the end of the garden and perfect for those wanting a short escape. The guest house is a newly converted, beautiful stone cottage, with an open plan living space, fully stocked kitchen and king bed or twin beds with ensuite bathroom. There are wonderful walks and cycling right on our doorstep.
