The Carriage House: Beautiful Farmland Views.

The Carriage House is the second floor of our cedar stables that was turned into an apartment years ago. It was completely redone this spring and professionally decorated to make it a cozy + luxe retreat with views to die for. While we no longer use the stables to house animals we still keep a few head of cattle + sheep in the pasture for your enjoyment. The wall of windows along the back of the apartment offer you the most stunning views of the surrounding farmland and an unforgettable sunrise.

Featuring a daylight basement apartment where you may watch sheep and cows graze from the kitchen windows as well as spectacular farmland sunsets. This apartment is in its glory in the spring and summer and fall with lots of interest - the orchard, garden and chive fields are open to explore at your leisure. Plenty to do and see nearby! The Coachman's Suite is located in the heart of the Village of Intercourse, Lancaster County. It's right across the street from Kitchen Kettle Village , a famous Lancaster County attraction with various shops & eateries. It's also a short 5 min. drive from the town of Bird in Hand, another famous Lancaster County attraction. A short walk, bicycle ride or drive takes you into the surrounding scenic Amish farmland of Lancaster County.

This cheery and simple guest suite is part of an Amish family's home in the heart of Lancaster county. You will have your own private driveway, a private entrance and your very own patio to relax on. With no TV, it's the perfect place to unplug in for a weekend in Lancaster and experience a taste of the Amish life (except with electricity!). We do also have Wi-Fi now!

We are located right in the heartland of Amish Country. Fields and farms are within walking distance. We have a local park with a fitness trail within walking distance also. Our basement is totally private, but we live in the main part of the house and will be available if needed.
