What a great spot. huge, fully fenced back yard. the rooms are big and there is plenty of room for teenagers and dogs. beautiful place, very comfortable. I'm from Mt. Shasta and stayed here while visiting family. I will definitely be staying again.

Our family had a wonderful time at Heidi and Steph's place to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Heidi and Steph really made us feel like at home. They're the most wonderful hosts we've ever met. The view from the front porch, facing the river, is beautiful. Great place for fishing and enjoying the beauty of nature. We caught 6 trouts in two days. Yay! Thank you for showing us the spots and for everything else that made our trip an amazing one.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay and adored the kitchen. It was definitely a chefs kitchen deep in the mountains, exactly what we were looking for. The home was peaceful, relaxing, and had everything we could have needed. Christian who showed us around was such a pleasure to talk to and very helpful in telling us about the property and surrounding area. We would love to come back to this cabin!

Peace and quiet surrounded by the woods and beautiful vistas. Only a 5 minute drive from Dunsmuir, avoiding the disruptive sounds of the trains that run through town.

We had a wonderful stay! There were only four of us and there was room for more. The kitchen was well stocked and Kavian is an excellent communicator. Very responsive, friendly and accommodating.

If you have this place on your wish list or are considering staying here, DO IT! It's one of the most amazing AirBNBs we've ever stayed at. The home is lovely, the location was spectacular and the pool just takes the cake. We were a group of two families (4 adults and 4 kids aged 2-8) Plenty of room for all of us. We visited during a time of bad weather which was fine because the house is so cozy and there was plenty for us to do at the property. The location is the perfect launch pad for lots of outdoor adventures. On the days we stayed in, the kids were easily able to busy themselves with all the activities and games in the house. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked well enough to support the meals we made! We stopped in Redding on the way in to get our groceries (as a heads up there isn't a grocery store nearby!) The neighbor was so helpful and even had some firewood available for us when we arrived. Can't wait to come back!

The cabin was as advertised, private, clean and well maintained. Meghan was there when I arrived and was super friendly and very helpful. The area is very quiet and peaceful and steps to the Trinity River. I would recommend the cabin to family and friends. Thanks, Meghan!

Or stay was great! The house was very clean and Lillian was very helpful with directions and getting the house situated for us! The location is amazing and on a clear night the stars are incredible. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place! It was everything we expected. Got some fresh snow while we were there. Cute little neighborhood with a nice country store within walking distance. Overall great place and experience.

This is the third time we have spent time in Lisa's cozy cabin, as Dunsmuir is an ideal stop for us en route to our son in Portland. We love it! Although we never play any of the games she has provided, we love the comfortable bed, the shower amenities, and (at Christmastime) the Christmas tree! Lisa was particularly accommodating this time, as I had forgotten to mention our pet when we signed up. PS Pizza Factory in town = great pizza!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! The home was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos. We had a little issue but Christie responded quickly and was able to send someone the next day to fix it. It was easy to find and the Oasis Center next door was perfect for us to walk over to enjoy some activities. The noise level from the center surprisingly wasn’t bothersome at all. Overall, it was a great stay and I would stay here again!

My family and I planned a last minute trip to see the snow! We love mt Shasta but never seen it in the winter and this place was a great location to stay to see the mountain. It wasn’t snowing in lakehead but we drove about 40 minutes to the bottom of mt Shasta to go sledding. It was amazing. Our last minute trip worked out perfectly and thank you so much to Kieth for helping us make it happen! The house was older, but cozy! We had a great time.

We had an amazing experience. The house was a big part of that. Very beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. The house was very well kept and cozy. The beds were very comfortable as well. The location made it great for our weekend ski trip. The wood stove produced the majority of the heat for the house so make sure you’re familiar with them. Also, pack some slippers because the floors are a bit cold during the winter months. Prime location for Moosesqwatch sightings too. Just kidding (or am I?)

We loved our stay at Basecamp Lodge and will definitely be back! It is in a beautiful location with views of Mount Shasta, surrounded by nature, and just a couple minutes drive to the Main Street in town. Everything we needed was accessible and having a full kitchen during our stay was a bonus.

The house is beautiful - clean and welcoming - we felt right at home! The kitchen is well equipped - and part of the great room that looks out onto the river - The beds are big and comfortable - very luxurious - If you are not familiar with the area- Wi-Fi is spotty - but that is par for the course when you are out this far - There is Ping pong and games to keep everyone entertained- We will definitely book again!

We rented this cabin for an anniversary getaway and it was absolutely perfect. Being just a few minutes outside of town means that all sorts of amazing restaurants are easily accessible, which was perfect. However, the most amazing part is when you enter the cabin you feel like you are on a mountain top. Out every window all you see are trees and nature is all that can be heard through the open windows. The cabin was stock and we felt very comfortable, plus the bed was absolutely amazing and had the softest sheets we had ever felt. The host was incredible and every recommendation was spot on. We will ABSOLUTELY be returning, hopefully for a magical winter experience. Book this cabin, you will not regret it!

This cabin is so cute and cozy and the bed and soaking tub are amazing! This was the second time my husband and I stayed here and it was the perfect place to spend the night after a long day of driving. Julie was super responsive, accommodating and kind. Would love to spend longer than one night one day!

Great place to stay while visiting the Mt. Shasta area. Close to restaurants, shops, and sites. The place was spacious and clean, and we especially enjoyed sitting around the huge fireplace and reading the historical writings on the ceiling and wooden beams.

It was a good stay for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). I like the peacefulness of the place, outside shower and this veranda kind of thing. I think for a price it's a good place. I personally really liked there. Some things to be aware of for summer stay: garage is not available (well at least it wasn't for our stay) and there is no constant shadow for a car while it's super hot outside (well at least for us who got used to living by the ocean). The lake is very close on the other hand.

Another great stay at Justin’s little cabin for my annual steelhead trip. Amazing location, cozy/comfortable = solid value.
