What a wonderful stay! Booked this for a little getaway for New Year’s Eve! House was so clean, yard was so cute with trees, lights, hot tub and fire pit! We made use of it all and the dogs absolutely loved the fenced in area! Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked with essentials and the waffle station is such a cute addition and we all ate waffles the morning we checked out! We will definitely be back in the warmer weather to stay and check out some of the local sites

What a cool property! The house was cozy and clean, but that's only the beginning. My kids played in the giant field, explored the woods, cold-plunged in the creek, relaxed in the hot tub, made s'mores in the fire pit, and played lots of ping pong! This isn't just a house; it's more like a camp! It was more charming and memorable than we ever expected. We had everything we needed and wished we could have stayed longer! The driveway and parking area were adequate and navigable, even with my 15-passenger van. The surrounding area is beautiful! During our 3-day stay, we hiked 6 waterfalls and did Sliding Rock, all within a 30-minute drive. So glad we didn't miss the experience of staying at this unique and lovely property. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful few days at this mountain cottage. The house is even better than the pictures suggest. It was extremely comfortable and well decorated. Travis was very responsive when I contacted him with questions . All in all an excellent house to rent. Thank you Travis

Great stay at Connestee falls. Loved the views of the lake from the house and the great hiking trails nearby. Lake is stocked with fish and the kids had a lot of luck fishing. Hot tub has a great lake view for enjoying at night

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect set up for our family of 5. The house is charming and updated with nice decor. Very clean and comfortable! We loved how private the property is. Very nice hot tub and fire put area!! Hosts extremely responsive, arrived almost immediately with a space heater when we reported difficulty with one unit. We found lots of fun things to do and see in surrounding towns! Perfect family getaway!

We enjoyed our stay. The house and location were perfect for our needs. The house was as described. The location was quiet despite being located across the street from the college. The host's check-in instructions were easy and clear. We would happily return.

A last minute stay in Lake Toxaway was made perfect with Patrick’s space. My husband, dog and I felt right at home. We made lots of tea and enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck when we weren’t hiking to waterfalls nearby. Beds were cozy, the space was so clean, and little touches made everything just right. We even grilled out on the porch our last evening in town. Highly recommend this spot!

This was our second time at Bear‘s Rest anschwellen absolutely love this place and the location. Nothing can beat the view on the patio for morning coffee or afternoon post hike snack. Communication with the host is super easy and you get a response in no time. We love the area for hiking. TONS of trails in a30 min drive radius. From easy to strenuous you will find it there! The kitchen is super well equipped with everything you need if you decide to stay in and cook, despite the multitude of options in Brevard. This time we even got a visit from wild turkeys. Thank you again for everything, til next time.

This place looked like a fairytale inside and out and made our honeymoon even more magical! We loved it!

My husband and I had originally reserved John’s place for a kid-free few days, but when plans for our young children changed and we needed to add them to our reservation, we couldn’t have asked for a more gracious host or a more perfect spot for our family. We had the most wonderful time in Brevard and much of that was due to the welcome and hospitality shown by John and his family. The space was immaculate and perfectly appointed. For our solo parent vacay, we had not planned to cook, but when our children joined, making dinner at our home away from home made the most sense. And the kitchen here has everything I could want, but was not crammed with lots of unnecessary things. The spices from a local purveyor were such a lovely touch (and made for even more delicious meals!). The beds were comfortable and my children fought over the loft space in the second bedroom. On top of all that, we all loved the chickens (and their fresh eggs). A magical stay and we can’t wait to get back!

Whispering Creek Cottage has anything you need in the kitchen and the sound of the creek is so peaceful. The decorations for Christmas were lovely. The owners were responsive and kind. When I had to return to Kentucky earlier than I planned, due to circumstances beyond my control, they nicely accommodated the change. Book this cabin you won’t regret it! Jeana was a wonderful host and quick to respond. The king bed and couches were comfortable. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. There were many hikes close by that we enjoyed. The only things to be aware of is the internet wasn’t always reliable and the shower head wasn’t that tall, my husband who is 6 foot struggled. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

We were very happy with our choice of home for this trip. The size and charm of the home, and how well it was stocked with all the amenities and more, exceeded our expectations while being just what we needed. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

We had a fantastic visit - tons of great hiking, waterfalls on the property, facilities for the kids. Everything spotless. Honestly, couldn’t have been better.

Beautiful property and an amazing community and location in Cashiers, NC- Chinquapin offers many hiking trails and amenities as a part of the community. The cabin is a perfect size for a small group and is very comfortable and has amazing views of the surrounding mountains! The host/ owners are great and communicate very well and present their property with great attention to detail and care. Everyone will enjoy staying at Bear Run cabin in Chinquapin!

Indian creek is exactly as advertised and couldn’t be more beautiful. Our boys played in the creek, we picked blackberries, and found everything very tidy and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

I stayed here while visiting my land nearby and working on plans to build a little retreat, and this place was perfect for it. The property is peaceful and beautiful, overlooking a quiet farm with lots of cattle, great for clearing your head. At night, the stargazing is incredible! We loved soaking in the hot tub after our days of hiking. Just a heads-up: there are some friendly neighborhood dogs who may run over barking. It surprised us at first, but they were sweet and even popped into the house to say hello. If you're bringing pets, keep an eye on them so they don’t follow the dogs off. There are a couple of other small cottages on the property, but the other guests were quiet and respectful, so it still felt private and calm. All in all, a lovely spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Would definitely stay again.
