great location, super quiet. could use more heating in the winter (bathroom & shower cold), but would totally stay again!

Eri was so beautiful! So helpful and the way she showed us around the home and her attention to detail was phenomenal! I even asked to stay an extra day because kyoto became my favorite place in all of Japan! Coming to Japan i was a bit disappointed with Tokyo, but i am so grateful for Koji and Eris gorgeous home and their recommendations. We rented kimonos and spent the whole day visiting local shrines and temples, all within walking distance. It was such an amazing experience. I will be coming back next year and am going to spend my entire vacation in Kyoto. Hopefully I will be able to stay at Tsubara house again!

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

大人2人子供3人の計5人で利用いたしました。Airbnb自体初めての利用で当日まで不安でしたが、チェックイン前〜チェックアウトまで細かなフォローがあり、とても安心して利用する事が出来ました。周辺の景観や備え付けの温泉は特に最高でした。子供たちもとても喜んでくれて、良い春休みの旅行に出来ました。ぜひまた機会があれば利用させてください。

Location is great but comes with a price if you are bothered by late night trains bring earbuds. It did not bother us and the host was very hospitable and friendly. Good sized accomodation for the area. Would happily stay again!

Stayed 3 nights at this beautiful home. great location... short walk to the metro station and centre of Kyoto. The accommodation had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Very responsive host and would definitely stay again.

Finding the place was ok I passed the road at first, there is a huge parking driveway but narrow roads to get to the home. I rented a 7 passenger van and was able to drive to the house with a spotter. Once we got there it was super easy to get in. Host was very helpful and responded quickly. There were bikes we were able to use and a baby stroller. There is a laundry machine with soap provided. The bathrooms had amenities. There were plenty of dishes. There is a button on the wall to turn on the hot water. There is a bathroom on the bottom floor and 2nd. Overall this was a super great experience especially for the price!

Great Machiya stay with a traditional feel, but with modern amenities such as heated floor! Also perfect location to explore Kyoto. Tokuji san was always very responsive during communications. Overall, highly recommended!

Great place to stay ! A nice traditionnal house, like a cocoon in the city. Kensuke is really helpful and kind ;) Book nights here will definitly improve your visit at Kamakura and Enoshima 🌟

今回、2回目の滞在です。 とても気に入っています。 車も家の前のガレージに駐車出来る事も最高ですし、ワンコと滞在したのですが、ゲージや、ワンコのお皿なども用意して頂けていてとても助かりました。 シャワールームとバスルームが付いているので、待たずにお風呂に入れてこれも快適でした。 また利用したいです。

Our family of four recently stayed at Yamano Kyoto Residence for five nights during our first visit to Kyoto, and Yamano and his wife truly made our trip unforgettable. The house is exactly as described—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities to make us feel at home. Its convenient location near the train station and bus stop made getting around effortless. The host's prompt and attentive responses to our questions were greatly appreciated. Yukari was more than a host, she is a friend. She is kind, friendly, helpful and very responsive. She picked us up at the station and also dropped us off when we departed. Japan is a great place to visit for its beauty, culture and especially the people. Obviously Jinn has a lovely home, but he is also an extremely gracious host. He was available to answer any and all questions and made us feel right at home in his space. The location is a serene and peaceful neighborhood which allowed us to enjoy parts of Kyoto we otherwise would have missed, while still being close to main attractions. I would recommend anyone to stay here, amazing experience.

Hele fijne plek op een prachtige afgelegen locatie. Een goede manier om een deel van Japan te zien dat afwijkt van de ‘toeristische highlights’, een waardevolle toevoeging aan onze reis! De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn enorm vriendelijk en gastvrij en hebben heerlijk voor ons gekookt!

A beautiful home in a nice area of Kyoto conveniently located in close walking distance to bus stops and supermarkets. It was lovely to meet Toshiko who met us for checkin to show us around (& has spent time in our home city of Adelaide, South Australia). The house is well appointed and spacious with separate living areas and a great shower! Highly recommended. Thanks Toshiko!

Ms. Keiko welcomed us and kindly showed us around the house. We had the whole space for ourselves and could enjoy talking until late night. It was a wonderful stay in very natural surroundings.

We very much enjoyed our stay here ! The house is very large with 4 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, bath tubs both indoors and outdoors and everything you need for a fantastic holiday. It is located in a peaceful forest area away from the crowds. If you have a dog, there are also plenty of facilities for your pet. Very easy to get from the house to Lake Kawaguchi and Chureito Pegoda, the 7 seas of Oshino, many temples, gardens, museums and also the F1 racetrack. If you have a car, this home is a perfect base to get everywhere. We really felt at home and enjoyed that everyone had their own bedroom with comfortable beds.
