The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

The house was spacious for the two of us. Really cute decor and super comfortable bed.

Aaron's house was a cozy retreat. I stayed with my husband and our 4yo and 2yo and everyone was comfortable. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed eating dinners on the screened in porch and on the patio and loved being able to see the woods from our bed.

Comfortable beds, super clean hot tub and such a nice place to spend spring break. Excellent communication and very pleasant hosts. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

Great place in Wintergreen! We stayed in Spring and everything was quiet and the foliage was vibrant. Our family went hiking and exploring everyday, and enjoyed the food and drink down in the valley. There is a nice trail in Wintergreen if you can find the overlook off Old Appalachian trail. Hot tub was a plus for sure! Enjoyed the trails in the neighborhood and watching the golfers. All the amenities you could ask for and a clean tidy home!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The place was spotless upon arrival and perfectly secluded without being far from town. We had 7 people and 3 large dogs and felt completely comfortable. The rain shower, heated toilet seats and hot tub really made it feel luxury while also being practical. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for the group. All the details made this stay perfect. Starbucks kcups, charmin toilet paper, a gift upon arrival, the hot tub was clean and hot, extra soft blankets all through the house that were perfectly clean, nice washer and dryer with soap etc, Dyson vacuum and all the cleaning supplies you would need under the sink, batteries in the drawer, everything you could think of was already in this cabin. It was SO nice. We had no worries the entire trip. When we did need an extension cord for the outside flood light, Amy brought it over right away. We could not have been happier with this stay. Absolute 100/10 will be back again!!

Fantastic girls getaway weekend! The house was amazing! I felt my blood pressure drop the moment I sat on the rocking chair with the stream gurgling below and bird songs from the trees. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

This small country cabin was the perfect fit for two people ! We had peaceful breakfasts on the back porch, enjoyed watching the horses come and go, and it was in the middle of all the things we had planned to do. If you want a nice, quiet country stay, this is the place for you !

This was out of our favorite stays in a while! You could not ask for a more beautiful spot - the mountains are gorgeous, the farm is inviting, and the cabin is charming. Claudia and Lea were lovely hosts - helpful, kind, and incredibly friendly. We took their recommendations for walking trails around the farm and eating in town. I loved seeing their horses nearby - they’re always eager for a scratch! This location is very close to some beautiful hikes in the GW national Forest, Hidden Valley, etc. They had lots of games too! The best way to disconnect and be in nature. We definitely want to go back!!

What an absolute gem! Rebecca’s cabin had every single thing you could want or need for a stay. The decor was eccentric and fun! Every nook was stocked with games dvds records and cozy blankets. The backyard felt like a dream! We had so much fun exploring the creeks for rocks and the 2 minute walk to the river for a quick dip was perfection. 10/10 !!!

This spot is indeed worth all the five star ratings! If you are in need of a reprieve from the hustle of everyday living/work - this is a prefect place. Hidden down a gravel drive off a quiet country road, Erin and Matt's cabin is the epitome of rustic chic perfection! The cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We were very glad we opted to bring all our food provisions vs depending on driving into Farmville, which is a good 25 minutes away. We did drive out to enjoy a long walk on the High Bridge Trail with our dog and then get a beer at Three Roads Brewery. The description that the water front is down a very steep pitch is no joke! We loved taking our dog down to the water but keep in mind it would be near impossible to carry anything down there (i.e. ice chest, chairs etc) if you were thinking of hanging out for any period of time. All in all - the peaceful getaway was just what we were looking for and would highly recommend as well as return in the future!

We spent two nights at the stargazer cabin. Right form the moment we pulled up in the driveway, we knew this would be a perfect spot for us. The cabin overlooks a stunning view of the valley. You are surrounded by sounds of nature and clean air. We spent most of our waking hours on the deck just soaking in the sun/breeze and the numerous bird songs. Culin and Danielle were very responsive and respectful in all our communications. The cabin is well appointed, very clean, and the bed is super comfortable for a peaceful night's sleep. Our 4 year old Aussie Pup loved to be away from the din of the city and get her fix of the sights/sounds/smells of the woods. We will be back to the stargazer cabin.

A wonderful home! This home had everything we needed to keep the kids happy and entertained, as well as to allow us to relax. Home was well-stocked and clean/organized. Thank you!!

This place is beautiful highly recommend I went away from my 26th birthday and I’m so glad that I picked this place such a calming getaway from 40+ hour work weeks the cabin is immaculate in the woods and extremely beautiful and relaxing. Ksenia is also really nice and super responsive and helpful. we honestly didn’t have to reach out much because she already thought of it all!

They give very clear instructions on how to get here, because it is a bit complicated, but with their help we had no problem. The area is very pretty and the cabin has everything you could want. The only difficulty we had was were no able to make phone calls, we were able to get enough of a connection at snowshoe, but be aware you will be cutoff from almost all internet uses. Outside of that we loved using the fire pit and grill every night, and we look towards our next visit!

The setting of the cabin was a show stopper! The wrap around deck was the perfect spot for morning coffee and griddle cooked lunches! The inside was homey and comfortable with a variety of sleeping options. also, plenty of space inside for game nights and group hangs. the unexpected highlight was the trampoline! host did a great job proactively xommunicatunf some unique expectations, like the need for 4WD vehicles to get to the top of the mountain and a somewhat rustic rural environment. would definitely stay here again with friends!

Pieter and Jenna's place was ideal for us after a day of hiking. Peaceful, quiet and close to the AT. Price was very reasonable in comparison to others and it was not a hotel. We just needed an overnight quiet place to sleep, make dinner and breakfast and back on the trail and then back home. Our goal was not to hang out, but it might have been nice to use or bring a Solo Stove Fire Pit. Their place was VERY clean, looked new, easy check in and check out. Not a big fridge or microwave but worked just fine for our needs. There is no door between the bathroom/laundry room and the bedroom, just small swinging saloon doors. Which is fine, as long as you understand that you don't have the kind of privacy you may be used to at home. All-in-all, it was a nice place to stay and would come back again.

We found everything as listed and even better! The cabin is cozy but not crowded. Rustic but not rough. Glamping without all the glitter! Every thing we needed to unplug for a couple of days feeling like we had to pack for every need. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the cabin for a getaway - hideaway.

We cannot say enough great things about the owners and this beautiful cabin!! If you are thinking about booking, think no more and do it! Not only was it absolutely beautiful on the inside but the area outside of the cabin made us feel like we were in our own sweet world. We saw deer, squirrels, so many birds, it was on the river and it was dreamy. The cabin itself was so fun! To stay in a real log cabin was a bucket list item and it was very pristine. There were wonderfully helpful notes all around to help us out and did I mention it was beautiful?!???

Perfect retreat from the city life! Loved petting the horses and watching deer in the evening from the porch!

Beautiful cabin and location for kicking back and enjoying family. Saw a blue heron in the creek and a fat groundhog in the field. Nice fire pit down by the stream. Convenient for visiting Staunton. The only disappointment was we were expecting walkable hiking trails based on the rental description. We tried hiking and found a trail past the pond but it was overgrown and only went to a couple of deer stands. We bushwhacked a bit (don’t recommend w/o GPS) but never found anymore trails. Still highly recommend this place as the living space is spacious and the screened in deck was great for sipping morning coffee or working a jigsaw puzzle.
