The boardwalk Malecón is wonderful to relax, watch at the old cars passing by, enjoy the ocean, its sound and view, and the sunsets in the evenings!
The famous boardwalk Malecón ist just 120 meters (about 400 feet) away from your place, you may look from the balcony on the Malecón. There you may watch great sunsets or just enjoy the old Cuban cars passing by. There are also good restaurants and cafés nearby. Enjoy it!
Or if you have children and there is strong wind from the sea (but of course not in times of a storm or a hurrican), you may enjoy the waves hitting the wall of the Malecon and spilling over it in some parts, or at least creating splash and drizzle refreshing you. My son loved it!!!

You can go to the hotel Inglaterra which is about 8 minutes walking distance from our apartment and enjoy life music, as you may do in the center of Old Havana, the street Obispo. From a lot of bars and restaurants you have good Cuban music!

You get everything of basic food near our place, there is a bakery and some basic shops. Be aware that Cuba does not have yet big shops or even shopping malls...

Our colonial apartment is centrally located, in the authentic district of Centro Havana, in the street “Campanario”. It is only 150 meters away from the famous waterfront Malecón with its magnificent sunsets and within walking distance of Old Havana (Habana Vieja - UNESCO World Heritage Site).
In the central district Havana Centro life is still original and unadulterated: men play dominoes outside the front door on the street, vintage cars and bicycles offer their taxi services and women put their laundry on the balconies. There are also many restaurants in the neighborhood, music and dance schools, theaters, museums and other sightseeing attractions. You are within walking distance of the Capitolio (9 minutes’ walk), the Prado promenade with the old town Habana Vieja, i.e. Old Havana behind it (9 minutes) and the Central Park (Parque Central - 8 minutes), where buses bring you directly to the beaches of Santa Maria outside the city.
