Some of the best modern dance performances in Europe , also theatre plays. I have never seen anything "bad" here. This is a great night venture if you are into dance. Must see.

This little-known Avant-Garde theater in Hellerau is actually the birthplace of opera! Extremely famous and well-reputed acts from all around the world put on shows (mostly in modern dance) at this theater, but since no one knows about it and it's not in the city center, sometimes there is barely any attendance. If you're interested in Avant-Garde theater, seeing something at the theater in Hellerau is a must-do.

Heinrich Tessenows Festspielhaus, nicht weit von hier entfernt, bietet seit seiner Wiedereröffnung ein interessantes kulturelles Programm, das die Dresdner Kunstszene enorm bereichert. Hellerau ist somit auch zum festen kulturellen Zentrum der Landeshauptstadt geworden.
