Just 1/4 mile up toward Stissing Mountain Road is Buttercup Farm Audubon Sanctuary, which has long lovely trails along the path of the historic rail lines.

Beautiful trails through pastoral farm fields in a quiet valley, located between Stanfordville and Pine Plains. Great if you want an easy hike not going up and down mountains. Beautiful scenery. Audubon owned, so great for bird life, but no dogs allowed.

Gorgeous nature preserve with wetlands, open fields, and wooded areas for a variety of natural beauty and bird watching. Bring your binoculars! Walking paths are very flat, well maintained and easy.

No dogs, unfortunately. Beautiful trails through farm fields in a quiet valley, located between Stanfordville and Pine Plains. Great if you want an easy walk not going up mountains.
