“Known as a burial ground for 'nonconformists', it is the final resting place of a number of famous authors including William Blake, Daniel Defoe and John Bunyan - it's very dark and dramatic in winter”

“Spa and steam room - for about £25 you get several hours' access to an amazing complex of heat treatments - herbal saunas, steam rooms, a caldarium, ice bath, plunge pool, and a lounge room with magazines and herbal teas. An affordable treat. Check Groupon - they have frequent special offers. CHECK online for gendered hours - there are some couples sessions, but mostly the spa is men only or women only. (Note: I have called and left a message asking them about their policy regarding gender-non-binary and trans* individuals, I'm waiting for their reply). The swimming pool upstairs costs a few pounds for one visit.”

“A cemetery from the 1600's where you'll find the graves of Nonconformists like William Blake, Daniel Defoe and John Bunyan. They have guided tours every Wednesday form April to October, but otherwise just pick up a leaflet and explore, or just enjoy the community garden.”

“A hidden gem in the heart of Angel. Friendly staff, simple menu, great ambience. You climb up two floors but it's worth it. Note that there is no wifi though.”
