ammiriamo il più grande porto naturale del Mediterraneo che abbraccia l’azzurro mare dello stretto. Lo stesso mare che ha visto il passaggio di San Paolo Apostolo e di Ulisse dell’Odissea che in queste acque aveva affrontato le minacciose onde. Da qui partivano per l’Europa i bastimenti carichi di grano e di seta che la città produceva.
