The back area of this big biergarten is filled with communal picnic tables and it's first come, first served. It's great for a casual night out because you know what to expect: a pitcher of beer and a burger or bratwurst. People love the grilled cheese sandwiches, too. Bring cash, prepare yourself for heavy metal and rock music blasting inside the bar, and don't mess with the bouncer or bartenders. They also have solid Bloody Marys, which are sometimes extremely necessary.

Cash-only beer bar. Was previously for grunge/punk fans, now the scene is for prep-shirt wearing tech employees (not a bad thing).

Less than a five-minute walk, you will stumble into this casual beer garden, on the corner of Valencia/Duboce, that is always lively and has a large selection of beers and drinks.

Great introductory SF bar. Great outdoor area where you can often find people smoking pot.

It's got an outside venue you wouldn't have even thought it'd exist until you go inside. Their grilled cheese and hamburger is amazing if you're super hungry for something super good and fast. Make sure you have cash! It's a cash only bar!
