Alyosha is a symbol of our relation with Russia and moreover it expresses deep gratitude of Russian help during the leberation fights against Ottoman/Turkish occupation that lasted 5 centuries. In order to get there you need to walk 20 min on the hill of Bunardjik. If you enjoy working out, you can do it there and enjoy a very nice views on top. To reach the hill you need 1 min from my appartment.

This is one of the seven hills without which Plovdiv would not be so unique. It has a monument of a famous Russian soldier on the top. It is a small hike to get there but the trails are very quiet, relaxing and a great place to walk around. Most of the other hills also have trails which you can explore. Most of them feel like you are in a forest rather than a city so if you are into nature and wilderness it is a must for you to visit at least a couple of them.

One of the hills in Plovdiv, Aliosha offers a park around it and a stunning view of the whole city from the top, as well as a war monument. A great place for walks.
