Overall experience was worthy according to time we had in his peaceful stay . Away from the busy cities . You want home away from real chaotic lifestyles. It provides that. View of the surroundings could be more enhanced if balcony of the apartment faced the real view. But won’t complain on that part as the view was seconds to walkable distance once you were downstairs. Place was tidy enough. Rahul himself was very responsive in taking care of his guest. Felt satisfied with the stay in this serene surrounding which had good market accessibility and good connectivity with the rest of the interesting places. So if want to plan a stay in quiet places, it worth the deal. As our plan was for 3 days but we eventually extended it .

Amazing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. A place worth visiting, and spending just one day is not enough! You can see the white peaks clearly early in the morning. Perfect to spend time with the loved ones. Road that leads to the stay is also really nice and you can easily take your car there too.

I had a wonderful stay at La Vie in the Mountains in Majkhali, Ranikhet, hosted by the warm and caring Sarika Verma. The location, 10 km from the main Ranikhet, was peaceful, scenic, and calm, with nearby short treks. The home was well-equipped and comfortable, and Trilok, the helpful caretaker, made sure everything was taken care of. Cleanliness was good, and although I expected towel and linen changes every 2-3 days, they were taken care of when requested. The terraces had spectacular views, though the Himalayan peaks were hazy. I enjoyed the presence of birds and cows. The homestay was perfect for work and meditation, with good connectivity. Sarika even arranged a ground-floor room for my elderly parents, catered to their food preferences, and ensured their comfort. I highly recommend La Vie in the Mountains for a peaceful and well-cared-for stay in Majkhali, Ranikhet!

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort . Mass tourism hasnot made its way to these parts yet, as a result, the place is serene and calm. View of snow peaks right from your balcony is mesmerizing. There is not much to do, which is perfect. Raghuwar takes really good care of you and the food is simple and home like. It's a great option. Would definitely come again

Staying at Panchwati Farms, Prashant’s homestay in Almora, was an experience to remember. The highlight was the delicious Kumauni food—every dish was authentic, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. I had a fantastic stay at Digvijay’s cottage. It’s in the mid of a tee estate (it’s not a massive tea estate but a small one, but peaceful.) The room is absolutely minimalist but makes you feel like home. It’s a wooden cottage and you get that old time charm. It’s a two story cottage with bedrooms upstairs and bathroom, kitchen, work desk etc. at ground floor. For food, if you are really keen on fancy food probably you can cook yourself as the place has a 2 burner gas stove or you can eat at some eatery before reaching here (No fancy restaurants around). The other option is to ask the caretaker Mr Girish to cook for you. He cooks homely meals and charges for it additionally. Beyond that, on a clear day you can catch glimpse of snow cladded Himalayas from the cabin itself. Parking is available at the property but driving down that Slope could test your driving skills thoroughly. All in all a lovely place to stay. I was there in 3 week of April 2025.
