What a fab house this is. We stayed for 6 weeks and did not want to leave. Jo was always on hand if we needed anything but the house is so well set up that we rarely did. The location is fab on a quiet back street but a COOP, Indian and nice bar all within a few mins walk. The house is really well presented and has everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. The hot tub is a great addition and the garden feels really private. All the bedrooms are a great size and perfect for couples. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Full 5 stars from us!

Great spot in a cute town with lovely views. Lots of clean bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. Great spot in between Leeds and York. Only downside was there isn’t a living room but this was fine for our purposes for a short stay.

We have recently returned from staying at this amazing house. Fantastic layout and perfect for a large family or as a group as there are plenty of areas you can go and relax without feeling on top of each other. The garden is huge and clean! It’s enclosed so perfect for dogs. The zip wire was fun , also has a basket ball net and an area for football. The hot tub is amazing ! Initially we expected a very long wait to get it to temperature however we were stunned to find it to temp within an hour and aslong as you keep the lid on after using it then the following day takes about 20 mins to get up and running. The house was spotless, plenty of tvs, Xboxes , Netflix, board games , books the lot. There is no way anybody can complain about what you get with this house. Even including tea,coffee and condiments which is very rare. Beautiful location and an amazing fish and chop shop around the corner. Perfect for visiting York and areas in the northeast. Fantastic stay ,we loved it!

Cindy was proactive with communication from the beginning, calling to offer a free upgrade to the onsite Lodge as she was worried about October temperatures overnight in the Yurt. The Lodge was just as private and fenced in which meant the dog could run around freely. The lodge was warm and had has all you need for your stay. Hot tub was ready and waiting for us, don’t make my mistake and turn it off over night though as it takes some time to warm up. Nothing was too much of Cindy who lives on site and is always on the end of the phone. It was just a perfect weekend away from any tech and just perfectly peaceful. We shall be back

As fabulous as expected. Ideal space for two couples, high spec accommodation with lots of room to relax . The kitchen is small if you intend to self cater but the facilities and equipment are excellent. We spent most of the time sat in the dining room watching the peacocks who wandered up to the window each day to be admired. Played tennis and walked into the nearby village along a public footpath 50 mins to a very good pub ( Dawnay Arms ) and evenings in the hot tub . Thoroughly enjoyed it, the host ( Lucy ) is onsite and is welcoming and supportive with communication without any intrusion . No hesitation recommending.

A great find and imo £309 cheaper than similar properties I was looking at in the area Great communication, easy to find, parking was stress free (I’ve experienced the Whitby area that’s stressful) hot tub was fab and a very comfy night sleep Perfect location to explore the local area of Scarborough and Whitby

Amazing venue, spacious living space which was appreciated by all. The children loved the toys they found and the adults enjoyed the grounds, Poole and table football. Kitchen facilities were excellent and we all fit around the dinner table with ease and comfort. If you need a special place for a group get together this is the place to go. So much better than a formulaic bland hotel. Thanks to the team.

This idillic cottage is in the perfect location for the Yorkshire Gliding Club (where we were flying from for the week) and exploring the National Park. Easy access, very quiet, fantastic views and great surroundings made for a very enjoyable week.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend with my family here . Beautiful location very peaceful. The freshly laid eggs given to us by Philippa was a lovely touch too x

Great house for all of us to attend a wedding. Gardens are huge and kids loved it, house is also huge and kids played with no dangers. Gated house so kids were in no danger.

Well what can I say... Pauline and Graham were wonderful host from the day we got there till the day we left, the annex was perfect with all the extra Pauline leaves (bread, eggs, milk, jam, flowers ect.. ) the list goes on and on. Now too the woodland which Graham has got it to a T with its little walkways and seating here and there and it's was sooo peaceful, our dogs Teddy and Bertie (Shih Tzu) loved it and so did we. I must say a lot of B&B call themselves 5 STAR but this is definitely 5*, thankyou it was just what the doctor ordered ( well if he remembers to order it 😂). See you soon Angela Peter Teddy & Bertie. We had a wonderful stay, the view is amazing, the apartment is well equipped and comfortable with a great shower. Less than a 15 minute walk into Otley with a variety of restaurants and a large range of pubs. Great locations for exploring and Chevin Forest is on your doorstep.

The Cow Shed is a perfect place to stay - it is centrally located, has the perfect host and offers the chance to embrace what country life is all about with goats, sheep and chickens close to hand if you want to say hello to them. A wonderful place and I’ll be back!!

Beautiful spacious house just 15 minutes walk from York centre. Very well equipped, with a lovely garden. Roger was an excellent host, very responsive and we loved the box of goodies that was left - thanks!

This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Thank you Phil for the use of your lovely home.

Fabulous garden and location. Beautiful view from the sun room. Great pool, perfect temperature and very comfortable bed. All round lovely clean and quiet place.

Expensive but worth every penny for our 4 generation trip. Rooms for exuberant kids and quiet rooms for 90+ years old great grand parents. Large sociable kitchen diner . Swim spa at 35c so great for the Californian kids.

This hidden gem was perfect for our family getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. we were welcomed with a smile, and a beautiful home made cake and loaf of bread, as well as a fun "boo-basket' with hot chocolate, smores ingredients and a pumpkin to carve. cottage was exactly as described and clean and tidy. we loved the indoor swimming pool and games room, allowing us the holiday fun irrespective of the weather. The Coachman Inn pub only a mile away, had the freshest pint and one of the best steaks we've ever had. close to Pickering, were we took the steam train to Goathland, and Dalby forest to go swing at Go Ape and ride bikes. and only 30 mins from Whitby to get a dose of sea-side and fish n chips! the grounds of the cottage were beautiful too, for a lovely evening stroll, where we met the sweetest chickens and ducks. Truly a fab week away to recharge the batteries !! thanks so much!! and will definitely recommend!

Perfect location. Perfect house. Perfect host. I stayed in Orchard House with my husband, daughter, son in law and two grandchildren aged 12 and 14. The host was so kind and had left milk, bread and a home made loaf for us. One morning we found a bowl of peaches from her garden on our doorstep. Jacqueline is nice and friendly and is available if you need to know anything. We loved everything about the house. Plenty room for us all. Great sized living room. Kitchen come dining room was ideal as were the 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The appliances are new and of the highest quality. Also made use of the log fire when we returned at night. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and table tennis. These activities were such an added bonus. A quiet peaceful location close to so many beautiful villages. Visited Thornton-le-Dale, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Filey, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, and went on the NYMR steam train from Pickering to Whitby.

Excellent accomodation. Just fantastic. The kids and us had so much to do and so much to see on The grounds alone which is extraordinary. Stunning fish pond with lots of massive fish. Impressive walks with space for a camp fire which was well utilised. Chicken to feed and tasty apples from a few apple trees. Then there's the indoor swimming pool, the main reason we chose this property and we weren't disappointed. The kids LOVED IT, we all did. You get about 2 or 3 hours swimming time in total a day which is just great. Can't beat the location either, lots to see and do in close proximity. Cottage was clean, tidy and had all we needed. The hosts were splendid also, easy to contact and respond promptly. They'll assist in any way they can. We're certainly looking forward to rebooking for our next holiday. Thanks.

We had a magical stay at Apple Cottage. The garden, glass house, chickens and ducks were a cottage life fantasy, we did not want to leave! The pool was amazing. The local area was pretty and we would definitely recommend a trip to Thornton-Le-Dale.

Perfect location for exploring the North Yorks Moors and East Coast. The cottage was exactly as described, comfortable and a great base. Facilities were great and the local village is very peaceful with a good local pub for food and drinks.
