The local shell beach is a 5 minute walk away or venture further afield to Talacre resort where you can enjoy golden sands.

Explore the wider Wirral area on the network of public footpaths or take a short train ride to the cities of Liverpool or Chester.

Davies Cottage, cosy, comfortable base

A perfect base for exploring the North Wales Coast. A cosy and comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. It has wifi, good quality beds and bedding and a full bathroom, with lots of towels! The Point of Ayr Nature reserve is 5 minutes away, Talacre sand dunes and lighthouse, then Prestatyn further along the coast. Ffynnongroew was a mining village, with 2 pubs a few minutes walk away, along with a take away, Post Office and small convenience store. DOGS ALLOWED, NO CATS.

The lodge has a Lounge /Kitchen with induction hob, air fryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge. A double bedroom and ensuite shower room. Welcome pack with Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits. Off road parking and an enclosed garden with a fire pit We are dog friendly, but we only cater for a medium size dog There is access the coastal path & beach, via a back gate We are 10m walk from the village
