My daughter & I had a wonderful relaxing break , everything was perfect & the hot tub was lovely . We had my daughter’s dog Bella with us who loved the woods & fields with easy access from the back gate . We really appreciated the fully enclosed garden. The area is absolutely stunning with easy roads compared to Cornwall . The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom had a beautiful rainfall shower . Iveta gave very clear instructions . We would love to come back in the future to explore the area more , thank you Iveta for sharing your beautiful peaceful home & the lovely basket of treats .

Great place in a tranquil and peaceful location. Sarah was a fantastic host and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Hgihly reccomend and woud stay again in future

Second time staying here, it was splendid, the view is great, the property is clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a wonderful addition. We would definitely recommend this for a break

Very lovely hosts and the place in general is lovely for little families. The property has a very safe enclosed garden which is perfect if you've got little ones. The property is on the grounds of their own property which is something to be mindful of if you're expecting complete privacy. My only negative is that the basic necessities like tea/coffee/sugar are not provided to give you that little head start if you've travelled a long journey. That being said, the place is a beautiful little getaway x

A perfect find for a relaxing weekend with friends. This place was spotless, peaceful, spacious, filled with everything you could possibly need, and in a perfect location. We really appreciated the instructions written throughout the house, it meant there was no room for confusion and we didn't have a reason to message the host all weekend as they'd covered everything. We will absolutely be coming back.

We had a lovely couple of nights at The Bothy! What a beautiful cottage and part of the New Forest! I have stayed in a few different parts and this was my favourite. I think I saw more donkeys than ever before which was a real treat as they are one of my favourite animals. Lots of other wildlife around too and some lovely pubs that did great food (and cocktails!) were in walking distance too, which was great. Chrissy goes that extra mile with some really nice touches inside the cottage, including a really beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. The bed was very comfortable and you’re spoilt for choice with the hot tub and a beautiful roll top bath within. She is close by and very responsive with any queries too. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.

What a beautiful place that can’t quite be captured in photos it is just so peaceful and lovely and private the garden was in beautiful condition and maintained so beautifully we cannot wait to come back!! They were very helpful with any questions as well as allowing a later checkout when we requested it was just perfect and a beautiful place to wake up in for my 30th! Balloons and fresh baked bread on arrival were also lovely and delicious !! Definitely recommend.

We had a lovely Easter Weekend, with the house ticking all the boxes! It is fully equipped with everything you need and the best distance we’ve ever had to the local pub!! It was about a 25 minute drive to Lyme Regis and a great location for exploring the area! Alison’s communication was extremely quick throughout our stay and the check in was really clear and simple. Would definitely recommend a stay here ☺️

We loved this cottage. It was close to the centre but it’s position made it feel tucked away from the main village. We loved the views and the feeling of spaciousness that looking down across the village gave us. We loved the cosy living room and the log burning effect gas fire was very realistic. The larder was very convenient for extra storage as we cooked every evening we stayed. We hope to come and stay again.

The exact location isn't too clear when you book - but this place is actually like a small countryside heaven. It feels very peaceful and isolated, although you're within a few minutes drive from amenities (a few supermarkets) and the town centre. Sally was very helpful as soon as arrived, and super responsive all along. The cottage itself was small but perfectly fine for a family with 2 kids (the bedroom, upstairs, is really large though). All the essential was there, and in good working order. And it was great chilling on the lawn by the river, watching the sheep on the other side and the blossoming apple trees in Sally's garden, once the kids were in bed. I wish our stay had been longer to enjoy it further!

Kristina’s cottage is fantastic! Great location in Kilmington, we used it as a base for Lyme Regis/Charmouth, Hive Beach and for seeing family over in central Devon. Very clean and charming cottage that was surprisingly spacious. Everything we needed was provided, we hugely appreciated the little touches like a pint of milk to get us going and delicious scones with jam and cream, these were very thoughtful. These would elevate Kristina’s stay from 5 stars to 6 stars if we could 😊 We definitely recommend Khushi Kitchen (just round the corner from the cottage), we thought this was absolutely brilliant and tasted amazing too. We will be back very soon to stay here again, and will definitely be recommending it on to friends and family. Thank you so much Kristina 😊

We had a lovely stay at the Jackdaw cottage. Well located for access to the centre and shops. We liked the kitchen and the patio garden particularly. Note there is an Aga which we managed to use successfully thanks to a helpful cookbook. We have family in Wimborne and look forward to booking again. Penny and Matthew

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Rowan Barn's open plan design worked very well as a welcoming space for three adults. It is set in beautiful countryside and in an excellent location for exploring this part of the Dorset coast. The cottage had everything we needed, including good access and easy parking. We have stayed in several different cottages in the area. This is the one we hope to return to. Thank you, Debra.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful, peaceful location with great walks from the door. The cottage is wonderful, really well equipped and comfortable, it has everything you need and we were very grateful that Caroline provided a cot, highchair and stair gate for our toddler. The garden was huge and perfect for our dog. Caroline and Christopher could not have been more welcoming and kind, really lovely hosts.

Jackie has the cottage set up really well. It’s ideal for a couple who want to explore Portland Bill and has everything you need in a cottage with all amenities in good working order. Approaching the cottage by car takes a bit of care but the on-site parking space is ideal and off the street. We’d go again and had a comfortable stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Hazel wrote to us and gave clear instructions for arrival as well as coming to say hi once we got there. The accommodation was lovely and cosy. The amount of space to walk around in the forest was excellent even if we weren’t brave enough to do the flying fox. The Dutch hot tub was excellent once we got it hot and we spent a lovely evening listening to the sound of the forest. Highly recommend (my 4yr old loved all the books as well)

Just got back from a lovely stay at woodbine villa.. We choose to stay here as it isn't far from the Shepton mallet Vintage Antiques flea market.. Such a lovely cosy cottage and very homely we loved our stay and would definitely would return.. Just felt so homely.. Very good place to stay and local to surrounding villages ..

The quiet, secluded cottage provided all the basic needs; was located in the middle of the countryside and surrounded by beautiful nature. With Lyme Regis only a short drive away for an active day fossil hunting on the beach and eating fish and chips, it was the ideal location for a brief getaway for our family!

A beautiful cottage, bath with a view and lovely hot tub in private garden. Provides everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful location, so peaceful. The barn with pool table and gym was a great addition. Responsive host too, a really lovely welcome when we arrived.

We had a lovely stay at Janet's. We went to visit family for a few days locally and booked last minute. Janet was very responsive, answered all questions and greeted us on arrival. Grandad's cottage is lovely, very well presented and was ideal for what we needed. It was great that we could take our dog. We didn't use the tennis courts or do any walking as we were very busy. The location is great and the parking is secure and spacious. Highly recommend Janet's place.
