Shepherds Watch is set in a lovely part of the country, within the Peak District's National Park. There's plenty to keep you busy with the Manifold Valley just a couple of miles away. This is great for bike riding as well as walking, with Thors cave halfway down the track. Dove Dale and its famous stepping stones is only a 10 minute drive away. And for the thrill seekers Alton Towers is only a 10 minute drive. We have some lovely country pubs within a few miles of Shepherds Watch.

The Shepherds Hut is nestled in our walled garden. It has all you need for a relaxing break including lovely views, wood burning stove, bathroom, mini kitchen and a comfy bed area. Meet our animals whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We’re a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers.

The Reading Room is a beautiful, self-contained period annexe set in a small, peaceful village on the edge of the Peak District and within easy reach of Alton Towers (11 miles/20 minute drive) . Sudbury Hall museum of childhood is 5 minutes away and Eaton Hall shooting ground is 1.4 miles away.

Our family of 5 people plus an Airedale Terrier will give you a warm welcome and will do everything we can to help you enjoy your stay. Simply furnished and comfortable, you can relax inside the cottage or explore the garden - the patio, the hammock, the fire-pit, or the BBQ, or just sitting in the damson orchard admiring the blossom!
