From Alan's House there are panoramic views across Staffin Bay to the Trotternish Ridge and Staffin Island with the mainland mountains beyond. There is easy access to Staffin Bay from the holiday cottage and the local shops are only a few minutes away. Alan's House makes a great base for walking on the Trotternish Peninsula and for exploring the Isle of Skye.

Heron Pod overlooks the picturesque River Hinnisdal. It is set in a quiet, rural location, 11 miles North of Portree and 4 miles South of Uig.
