My first yurt! Thoughtfully designed and has the perfect little forest around it, complete with a bubbling fountain that sounds wonderful and relaxing. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Convenient to everything I needed, peaceful and serene environment, all the amenities were as described, and Ellen is a beautiful soul. So glad we stayed here. We will be back!

Really pleasant stay just outside of downtown Luray. Annette was responsive to my initial questions and the setting was really pretty along the river.

The photos don’t do the place justice it is so cute and quaint. We absolutely loved the yurt! You get to hear the birds in the tree in the morning too. Nice clean sheets. Never had an issue with getting hot water either. The host was responsive, friendly and helpful with lots of info on location and a local guidebook. My husband who was skeptical that I booked a yurt was very surprised and loved it. You may see an occasional bug find its way in but it is technically a camping experience so this is to be expected. I love camping so that doesn’t bother me:)

Had a great stay, circumstances of the trip definitely made us more quiet and reserved. would love to stay again on our next trip to va.

Three quiet nights in the mountains… my 11 year old daughter and I both were excited to escape reality for a while. On our drive to the yurt, she made a comment about how she was so ready to get away from all the annoying kids at her school. As you can tell from the photos, it’s a special place. And, I’m so thankful that we found it. This morning while sitting on the couch she said “Ya know, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m excited to go back to school.” I looked at her and smiled. I said “Ya see baby, what a mountain trip can do for your soul?” She grinned. Proud Mama Moment. Been twice. Ready to go again. 🛖💫⛰️

The yurt was a cozy and comfortable place to make loads of great memories with our family. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and the accommodations and location felt magical. Our family enjoyed the easy walking trails, campfires, and the hot tub overlooking the mountains. We highly recommend this special spot!

We loved the Yurt! The bed was comfy, great hiking nearby, and the woods were a peaceful getaway. We didn’t need to use the washer & dryer, but it was a bonus to have it available if we were staying more days. We’d stay here again for sure!

Fran was an exceptional host, and the yurt was such a fun way to ring in the New Year. I won't mince words: it was chilly, but the buddy heater was a welcome amenity, and the bed was beyond comfy and piled high with blankets. The bathhouse 250 steps away was terrific, but by far and away my favorite perk was the en suite--the composting toilet around the corner on the deck, something I didn't know about until I arrived! Fran thinks of everything, and, given I was starving on arrival, the freshly baked bread was such a welcome treat. If you're a beer drinker, don't miss Blue Mountain Barrel House & Smokin' Barrel Restaurant. Thank you, Fran!

Nancy’s place was a great escape, everything was as described and shown. Would easily recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the trail to the creek...fell asleep in the hammock.... Enjoyed the storm on the last night. Everything we needed was there ..including a down comforter. It was a wonderful retreat from reality. Bill was a great host and a great human to talk to. We definitely recommend and will be back.

Great place to stay to be in the woods. Good hiking trails and very peaceful. Yurt was really nice and comfortable would recommend.

Upon arrival to the Yurt, Jason came outside from his house, welcomed me, and told me about his farm. He warmed up the Yurt before I got there so I wouldn't be cold when I walked in. I had a very peaceful stay and Jason even told me when his farm shop was open so that I could peruse their wares. The drive to Deep Creek and the srounding parks was no bad and the sound of the stream at night were very nice. I highly recommend and would stay here again. Warning: His friendly dogs will greet you as you get out of your car, so if you don't like dogs then I'm sure Jason would keep them in when you arrive. Advisory: Jason's Highland Cows are the cutest. You will want to pet them and the dark brown one will want to you pet him. If you only like to see them from afar, don't worry, they are behind a fense. P.S. This place did not smell too much like a farm at all!

Helenna’s yurt was cozy and very welcoming! We were celebrating my birthday and she was so thoughtful, leaving cupcakes and balloons for our arrival. My kids loved playing with the goats and fishing in the pond. It was a little chilly when we visited at the end of April, so the hot tub got lots of use! I do recommend bringing high socks and boots to explore the property. Make sure to bring extra socks for lounging around, as the floors in the yurt do get cold! All around it was the perfect, relaxing weekend! Just as described!

We enjoyed our stay. Peaceful and quiet but close enough to French Lick and West Baden hotel to enjoy what they have to offer.

We were two single parents with teens, a preteen and a toddler and the space was perfect for us. Super cool yurt that was totally decked out. Comfortable bed. Very spacious. And all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable yet remote Glamping outdoor stay. Extra props for beautiful land with a creek within walking distance. the kids loved it.

A must experience Airbnb! The yurt was cozy and had all the comforts of home. Glamping at it's finest. Full bathroom, outdoor kitchen (grill, sink, tables) and AC! The property is so cute. A creek and garden and plenty of trees for your hammock. I loved it here and will definitely be back. Also really loved that staying here supports a nonprofit organization to help children with cancer. Lots of hiking near by and the Folk School is 3 minutes down the road, also close to all the lakes and rivers. If you are thinking of booking, do it!

Evan’s place is a beautiful escape. I came for the views and they delivered! It’s close to a small waterfall that you can hear from the yurt which was so nice to fall asleep too. The downside as others have mentioned are the amount of bugs that make their way inside but Evan does warn that it is a camping experience. We also experienced an issue with the battery having no charge when we got there but Evan was very responsive in helping us out with that. Overall, it was an enjoyable getaway and I’d love to come back!

My husband and I loved staying here so much that we hope to make this Yurt our annual getaway for our Anniversary. With three kids ages 5 and under, getting away is a challenge and this was our first time away. It is the perfect place to be with nothing to do. This felt like such a great mental reset. My husband and I so enjoyed just relaxing in each other’s company for a couple of days, distraction free. The scenery is beautiful but you aren’t so far away from town that it’s an inconvenience.

This was our second time staying here, and we love it every time. Due to an emergency situation, we had to leave our dogs in the yurt and called the front desk to let them know they might be barking. The staff was incredibly understanding, which we really appreciated during a stressful moment. We’ve already booking our next trip for July and can’t wait to come back, thank you again for being such great hosts!

Very quiet and secluded. Artfully decorated. Creek was dry but forest sounds made up for it. Ryan was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Hot water heater was a little finicky, but the bath house provides a great camping feel. We would highly recommend this place for a couple looking to slow down and relax for a while!

We loved our stay here! We a small issue at check in but the issue was resolved quickly with a quick phone call to the host. She was honest through the process in getting it fixed. It wasn't a major issue that couldn't be fixed and they fixed it within a hour of arrival. She was absolutely amazing to work with. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Such a neat place to visit. There is several unique air BnB units on premises include a schoolie, boat, and two yurts! We can't wait to go back.

We came here right after our wedding and truly never want to leave. From the sound of the rain on the yurt to the warm glow of the fireplace, this place has wrapped us up like a hug from nature. We grilled steaks our first night (the charcoal took me back to Friday nights with my dad), made biscuits and gravy in the morning, and even managed to binge all of Harry Potter on DVD—thanks for having the full set! The fire’s been balmy, and though we’ve only dipped our toes in the hot tub so far, the rain has made everything feel like a dreamy, tented escape. If the skies clear, we’ll end this perfect little chapter with a bonfire under the stars. Thank you for this peaceful slice of magic. We’ll be talking about this yurt for years. Erin’s farm was simply delightful, and to have farm animals nearby, and cows on the actual farm property was an extra highlight. Cows were literally down the hill, so, you could hear them moo and watch their every movements. The scenery was lush and green, the back drop was the hills of eastern Tennessee .Could not have asked for a better day with the weather just right. The yurt was very clean and well stocked. The furnishings were very comfortable and felt like what a yurt would feel like. I have always wanted to go inside a Mongolian or nomadic like yurt. This was pretty cool! I had spent sometime to find my mother a cabin like property, and to say the least, this property did not disappoint, and offered great views just as or even better than being in the mountains inside a cabin. Thank you Erin, and to her generational farming family! For the hospitality, ability to be flexible, well kept land, and friendliness.
