My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our dog immediately fell in love with the space both inside and out. It was great to have a place to stay with our dog where we didn't have to worry about others around (our dog is a bit reactive to other people), and we could easily go outside and immerse ourselves in quiet, peaceful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely have to consider staying again if we come back up to visit the Adirondacks in the future!

We had an exceptional stay at Trevor's bungalow! Perfectly designed for our family of four, it was both spacious and cozy. The location was ideal—conveniently close to local shopping, attractions and a short drive to beautiful Gatineau Park. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, making us feel right at home. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which made meal prep easy, and the comfy living area where we relaxed after our day trips, summer work experience, and camps. The backyard deck was a fantastic spot for us to BBQ and unwind in the evenings. Trevor was incredibly welcoming and quick to respond to any minor issues. Overall, this bungalow offered a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, making our summer visit truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Canada's capital while enjoying a homey retreat!

Erin's place was wonderful for our family of 12! We agree with the other reviews - the photos don't do it justice. It was clean and well-equipped. The only negative was that we arrived on a very hot and humid day, so we definitely very hot, with no AC. We brought some fans and did purchase some larger fans. The kitchen was perfect - we made most of our meals. We did go out one night and the Gran View and really like that suggestion. The paddle boards/kayaks and floats were so nice to not have to rent. The river is super calm before and after storms or in the mornings. We rented a pontoon boat from Wellsey Island, and it was dropped off at a nearby marina. We docked the boat on one side or the other of the dock, depending on the current or rough waters. We loved the quiet road for walks, and only a 25 minute drive to A-bay. The grill worked well. All in all, it was a great place!

Emily’s house was a dream and is highly recommended. Our family of 5 (with 3 kids under 10) spent a week at Emily’s house while in Ottawa to help out a family member. We were so grateful for Emily’s hospitality. As we were there during yet another wave of the pandemic, coupled with virtual school, we were basically in lockdown at the house - it could have been a very unpleasant week. Instead, it was truly wonderful to have Emily’s beautiful home to feel grounded in. The house was clean, comfortable, exactly as represented in the pictures, and we were struck by the attention to detail. The communication with Emily was perfect. After a week in the house, we joked about staying a week longer! There is no doubt that we will return.

We had a great family week away at David’s place and as a host he was super helpful. The view from the window/hot-tub/deck was fantastic, shame we could not bring it home with us! The weather was not great for the week, meaning limited time on the lake. We did manage a day on a hired boat, the other days we went on day trips to local towns and Ottawa by train from Brockville. We also did a city cruise of 1000 islands and attended the annual 1000 islands rib fest. The house was well equipped with all we needed for a great family stay and a relaxing week. For a BBQ recommend a trip to “The Butcher Shop”.

Josseline was a great host, keeping me informed of snow clearing plans during a blizzard and offering assistance if required, without being in any way intrusive. Her AirBnB was lovely and bright, private and convenient. The entire place was clean and comfortable and is a perfect size for one or two to relax or work in.

Patrick’s home was a perfect space for my family and I during a week long stay in Ottawa. It was in a quiet but great central location, right across from the experimental farm and close to anything we needed. The home itself was stunning, thoughtfully designed and perfect for a family to stay with everything we could need. I would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area and I would stay again in a heartbeat.

James has a great space for visiting Ottawa. It’s comfortably furnished and well eqipped. We had never used a murph bed and I was wondering how it would work but it was fabulous and simple. I highly recommend this spot and we will definitely use it again. Janet

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.

My husband and I spent the most peaceful three nights at Nancy's beautiful property. A highlight for us was a day spent barbequing, playing games, and storm watching from the enclosed lower level of the boathouse. The home is so cozy. Throw blankets are scattered throughout, and there are many places to curl up with a glass of wine and a book. The Wi-Fi signal worked seamlessly while we were there. There is excellent water pressure and plenty of very hot water. The ovens definitely perform better than ours at home. Be sure to keep an eye on your baking and don't burn your croissants like I did—twice! Le Nordik is conveniently located a short drive away for massages and hot tubbing. We just loved everything about our stay and look forward to returning.

I had a lovely time, the apartment was cozy, the nearby dog park was great, and the hosts were great!

Comfortable home that has everything you need. Noreen was quick to answer my questions. Although it was winter and the winery was closed, it would be perfect to sit out and relax in the lovely yard or partake in the events at the winery. Would definitely recommend this location.

Anne’s place was a great spot to stay while we visited family in the area! It was private and quiet and the surroundings were so peaceful! We’ll definitely be back!

What a lovely spot! Susan & family were so welcoming, my 4 year old loved getting to meet the many beautiful critters surrounding the guest house (getting toppled over by a friendly goat just added to the adventure!). The space is thoughtfully laid out to maximize the views, and the bed & furnishings are super comfortable. This was a staycation for us and it was truly a treat to have such a relaxing getaway in our own neighborhood.

We had such a great time staying at Anne’s place in Kemptville. The house was super comfortable and fully furnished—everything we needed was there. I really appreciated how there were clear instructions for how to use everything, which made things easy and stress-free. One of the highlights for us was the space to roam—especially with our dog. It was great to have the yard to play in, and we were even told we could use the farmer’s field out back to take him for a walk, which was such a nice bonus. Anne herself was amazing—so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely kind. She gave us great local recommendations and was super approachable throughout our stay. Overall, everything was to our liking, and we would definitely recommend her place to others. Thanks again, Anne!

Great place! 4 adults, 3 children. We skied at Camp Fortune 3 days and visited a museum on the fourth. Pictures describe the place very well. Kids played in the huge backyard. We also went for a 2 hour walk on a trail nearby. It’s a house with character, and can be a bit draughty in some places, and also is unevenly heated. That was our only issue. Nice showers and bathrooms. Comfy beds. Good lighting. Kitchen is well-stocked and spacious. Mud room large and convenient. We would definitely return. Thank you!

Highlights of the stay were a really great backyard with pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable and place was very well equipped. Host was accommodating and responsive.

The house was exactly what we needed for our trip to the Ottawa area—exactly as depicted in the description! My partner arrived before I did, and Anne was very responsive, answering his questions as I was still driving to the house. We also appreciated that someone came to clear even more space in the parking area while we were there. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs a place to stay with their dogs.
