The village has a shop, pub, medical centre, and an antique shop just 250m away. The local area also benefits from many other very good pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Country walks, water sports, and events abound, along with dog friendly pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops in nearby Stamford, Oakham and Uppingham.

The Fox is just a 5 minute drive away, an 18th century pub which serves great food. There is a well stocked village shop in Edith Weston, also a 5 minute drive away!
