Caroline is a very friendly and responsive host. The property was exactly as described and the facilities were fab. It's noted that it's remote and it certainly is, about 1.5 miles into the nearest village (Little Downham) but it can be a bit noisy for the lighter sleepers as it's very close to an active railway and crossing. Alfie Acres is clean and well equipped and would highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

We stayed at this beautiful lodge for a girls’ weekend to celebrate a 40th birthday, and it was absolutely stunning. The decor was stylish and welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the peaceful location made it the perfect place to unwind. We all had an amazing time, and while there was no WiFi, it actually encouraged us to have more conversations and truly enjoy each other’s company—making the experience even more special. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we’d definitely recommend it!

Fantastic stay at The Bothy. Everything was so easy and clear. No issues, everything as described and better. Loads of logs and kindling for the fire pit and wood fired hot tub. Coffee, tea and a few starter bits provided by the hosts. We weren’t disturbed at any point and got to enjoy the beautiful views in peace. Perfect mini getaway!

Lovely peaceful location and ideal for a relaxing break to explore Suffolk. The accommodation and equipment provided were excellent. We’d definitely make a return visit in future.

We were in the area for our daughter's wedding and chose Sherwood Farm on the basis of its proximity to the venue. When we arrived the lights had been left on for us as we had said we would be arriving late. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped - with milk in the fridge and goodies on the side - and it is even nicer than it looks in the pictures. Stuart and Carol were very helpful. It was the perfect place for the bride and bridesmaids to start getting ready on the wedding day morning! Thank you so much for the use of your lovely house.

Short stay while bathroom was being renovated. The cabin was immaculate and very tastefully decorated and furnished. Hosts were very helpful and friendly but also mindful of privacy. A great local find in our home town Chesham!! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Also lovely little touches included, like dog treats, fresh milk, tea and coffee. Really wonderful cosy place to rest for a few days.

Claudia and Andy were fantastic hosts - super responsive friendly, and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and made our 3 week stay in between moving as serene as one could hope! Would definitely recommend Wingate cottage! Thank you Claudia and Andy 🙏🏼

I honestly can’t praise both hosts Amelia and Yogi, the cabin, and location highly enough. Genuinely fabulous hosts, really welcoming, flexible and knowledgeable. Lovely cabin, really well thought out and excellent little touches which are often forgotten, but not here. Perfect location for both walking into Stamford itself, or a short drive from all the area has to offer. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again very soon

Chris and his wife were wonderful hosts—warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. My wife, our small dog, and I had a fantastic stay. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: coffee, milk, cereal, even dog bowls and treats—perfect for dog lovers. The photos and description are spot on; the place is just as lovely in person. One evening we returned late to find the outside lights had been left on for us—such a kind gesture. We were also offered a later checkout without even asking, which was really appreciated. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

A simple, bright, spacious and immaculately clean studio in a peaceful setting. The village is quaint with many quiet walks and easy access to Cambridge and Saffron Walden. Elmdon also offers an opportunity to see great examples of the regions vernacular architecture, including thatched roofs, decorative pargeting, flintwork and timber framing. It's evident that hosting means more to Fiona than just money. It was a warming experience and we certainly hope to stay here again when we're back in the area.

Had a gorgeous stay at wisteria lodge! My first time using Airbnb and I wasn’t at all disappointed. We stayed at Helen and johns lodge for a much needed getaway this weekend and couldn’t have been more impressed. The lodge had everything we needed! We particularly liked using the tennis court and rackets and balls were even provided by Helen. Thank you guys very much

We recently stayed over Christmas to visit family and we had a great time - even a Christmas Tree - thanks Cheryl and Stuart - much appreciated. Everything was as we expected from the photos. The communication with Cheryl and Stuart was really good and a key safe to let ourselves in was easy. The place is spotless, modern and quiet. The beds are really comfortable. Despite the cold outside it was warm inside - a thermostat allows you to change the temperature if you need to. We would highly recommend this Airbnb - close to many places in Norfolk and the coast. Would definitely return when next in Norfolk.

We booked a stay at Buddy’s cabin for a girls catch-up weekend and wow, I am so glad we did! The pictures don’t do it justice, the cabin is so cozy, warm and inviting - the sauna is a huge plus too! Buddy has really thought of everything, providing all the essentials you could need and was extremely accommodating! We went and did many of his local recommendations too! I would recommend this place to everyone! Thank you.

Loved it. A great place to stay. Caroline provided lots of thoughtful little extras and was quick to respond to any queries. Accommodation is a great size with comfy bed, powerful shower and everything you need. A relaxing few days away. Loved the Geodome, which is a little added extra and we enjoyed watching the sunset with a hot chocolate or glass of wine. Burwell is ideally situated for trips to Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket and National Trust properties. Burwell kebab van and Thai food in the Anchor are both great. We enjoyed Ely cathedral and boat trip on the Liberty Bell. we will definitely be looking to stay again.

Perfect cabin for what we needed. Well equipped and very cosy. Very comfortable bed and we slept well. On a main road so is a little noisy with traffic but didn’t disturb our stay.
