The views from the cottage are breathtaking. We arrived on rainy, windy days and watching the whitecaps and surf was mesmerizing. The fireplace stove kept us warm and cozy and the huge glass windows provided lots of light with the gorgeous views. We then woke to a bright sunny day and our room was filled with bright blue sky and shimmering waters. Peaceful and quiet but lots to do within a close drive. Marc communicated very efficiently and welcoming and provided us with easy check in directions and all the provisions the home offered. Marc also left great instructions and suggestions for hikes, restaurants and surrounding adventures in the area. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Marc for a very special visit!

This is an amazing place to stay! First of all, 1/3 acre in Monte Rio, fully FENCED, and next to a CREEK, is rare. Our senior dog LOVED it! Lorri thought of everything. From the dog towel, to the instructions on how to start and operate the fire pit and grill. It was all so inviting. The house-book is a must-read. We were greeted with chocolate chip and walnut cookies which were wonderful to snack on after a nearly 4 hour drive. Sweet Creek is EXTREMELY pet friendly but you still have to be a responsible pet owner and pick up after your pets and the basic things like dry their feet off and drape any furniture with sheets if they lay down on them. The picture board of animals who've stayed there, and the wonderful binder full of thank you notes was just so touching. We felt like we were staying at a friends house, not airbnb. We can't say enough with the character count left. Sweet Creek is a must! We will RETURN!

Our family of four had such a fun and relaxing week at Chris’s place! Kids were instantly enamored with the garage hang-out and we loved the different relaxing spots throughout the house and yard. Everything was clean and comfortable and just right for us. Rustic, charming, great historical touches. Easy walk to a great beach and easy drive into town. Lovely quiet neighborhood full of beautiful birds and flowers!

Our second stay at this sweet little cottage. All the amenities we needed. Super cozy and quiet except for nature sounds. Just what we needed. Bonus points for the really nice shower with the tankless on-demand heating. Hot water all the time.

Stunning home on a gorgeous marina! we stayed as a group of 8 and we're more than comfortable.. the two master rooms are wonderful, both with french windows onto the beautiful large patio garden and dock.. lots of soaking up the sunshine, kayaking and dining outside. Very spacious lounge and separate kitchen/diner with fabulous bi-fold doors to the exterior. Lots of amenities and a very home from home feel, we'd love to return! Novato itself is also very pretty with plenty cafes, shops and restaurants, plus we were close to lovely nature areas / bike park, and only 20+ mins from Sonoma and 40+ mins from Napa!

Great house, had everything we needed. Beautiful area with lots to see and do. Would definitely book again. Thank you for a wonderful 4 days.

Our second time staying at Syd’s place. We really enjoy the ease of everything and the close proximity to wine country. Syd left a complimentary wine for us and it didn’t disappoint. Bed is comfortable and heater and extra blankets came in handy. We will gladly return for another stay if availability permits.

The view looking out into the woods and river from the living room is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in late April and it was a bit rainy so it wasn’t feasible to enjoy the river, but the location more than made up for it. The proximity to Armstrong Redwoods, Jenner, and several charming nearby towns made for a perfect mix of hiking, beach walks, and exploring local spots.
