Ahh....The Good Life Cottage is located approximately five miles north of Laurel, MS where it began on a patch of ground that was fully cultivated from the 1900's to the 1960's, afterwards it became a family farm that grew corn, hay, and food for livestock and family. Today, on the land is a farmhouse with modern amenities as well as the sights and sounds of nature all around you, frogs croaking, crickets chirping, deer feeding, turkeys foraging, and owls hooting. A place to enjoy the Good Life.

Our Little Farmhouse

This 1920's treasure holds nearly 100 years of special memories for our family. It has recently been lovingly renovated and restored and is very comfortable. Much of the original shiplap, beaded-board, and heart pine floors have been retained and restored, as well as much of the original exterior and front porch. There are two bedrooms and two baths downstairs. Upstairs offers a loft play area and a small bedroom with two twin beds. This home is located just 5 minutes from downtown Laurel.

Deer Run

Take it easy at this brand new charming home with 2-BR with 2 queen beds and a twin size pull out couch. The charming decor and cozy atmosphere make guests feel right at home. Located in a country setting but still within minutes of downtown Meridian and other shopping. Meridian Regional Airport is only 12 minutes away and Meridian Jaycee Soccer Complex is only 7 minutes away. Deer Run has many amenities for your convenience. The spacious one bedroom home highlights several unique design updates that have been tailored to the owner's individual style. Nestled beneath four sprawling pecan trees, this ancestral farm house boasts two porches and plenty of shade for you to catch a sunrise/sunset during your visit. Two kitty cats do live outside so If you have pet allergies, please beware.

This is not a pet friendly listing due to severe pet allergies. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to relax you have found it. We have 2 ponds stocked with catfish, bass and bream. The home has everything you need to cook a great meal, including fresh rosemary and basil growing in pots at the front door. This listing is 30 minutes to Hattiesburg and Laurel. We are located 1 1/2 hours from the coast and casinos. We are 1 1/2 hours to Mobile and 2 1/2 hours to New Orleans.
