We stayed four fabulous nights at Higashiyama Hills. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with its close proximity to the trains, friendly atmosphere, and wonderful restaurants. Our host was always responsive and the recommendations they left for us proved to be spot on. Don’t hesitate to book this spot; the rooms may be small but every inch is efficient. 10/10 would book again!

We had a great stay at TOKA/Kyoto! Even the room is small it felt very comfortable and we were able to lay down two bigger suitcases. The area is great, walking distance to cafes, restaurants, the river and bus stops. We have to point out that the staff went beyond to help us redirecting a parcel we got send from our previous hotel to TOKA. They were so helpful, calling the post agency and helping us out. Thanks again! All the staff we met were super friendly :)

A wonderful place to use as a headquarters while visiting Kyoto for a week. Quiet neighborhood with wonderful restaurants within walking distance; tasty food by kind owners who care. Good grocery stores for breakfast staples, comfortable studio with the kindest, most communicative host we ever met. Clean as could be, and no noisy neighbors.

Nice stay at Karen’s place! About 25 minute walk to the centre. Room is smaller than the pictures but ideal for what you need it for. Nice walk by the canal outside the hotel and the host is extremely responsive! :)

Very clean and beautiful. The staff were very nice and helpful. Lots of shopping, historical sites and restaurants within a short walk. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb, walking distance to Teramachi shopping arcade, amazing temples/shrines and near the beautiful walking path at the Kamo river. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We found the accomodations spacious for the 2 of us with the ability to create a separate bedroom if wanted. There was room for storing large suitcases. The only thing I would have liked added would be some seating (we used our pillows to sit on). The host kindly allowed us to store our luggage in the lobby when we arrived and when we checked out allowing us more time to explore the neighborhoods.

Comfortable beds, clean, and location is 2 minutes walk to a bus stop and 8 minutes walk to a subway station. Staffs are also friendly and helpful. Overall recommended.
