Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Old Moorens

Old Moorens is a cosy, traditional crofthouse on the rugged and beautiful West-side of Shetland. Charming and full of character, the house is situated only 200 metres from a quiet, shingly beach with beautiful sunset views. As well as this, it is only a short, 5 minute walk, to the main West-side bus route. The perfect base for exploring the many attractions Shetland has to offer in all seasons. Fresh, light and airy in the summer months with a wood burning stove for the colder nights.

Minutes from quiet rural beaches, the famous Hams o Roe, trying to spot an otter passing the window or waking up to Shalders on the patio, in 2018 Shetland had 2 pods of Orcas circumnavigating the islands. At evening you can enjoy the award winning Frankies fish & chips, enjoy complimentary mussels from our farm, or seek out Shetland music.

Renovated chapel in Vidlin, Shetland

Sunsets, space and solitude in a converted stone built chapel. Renovated to a high standard in 2014, it provides all the home comforts you need in a beautiful location with views of Vidlin Loch. There is private parking at the house. The charming village of Vidlin has a service bus route nearby. In the centre of the village is an attractive marina within easy walking distance of the Chapel. The nearest pub in Brae is 10 miles away and it’s just 22 miles to the ferry port of Lerwick.

Mavine Cottage, Lerwick, Shetland

A cosy stone built cottage, circa 1800, in a superb location on the outskirts of Lerwick. Gorgeous sea view, with the Sands of Sound beach just down the road and great access to coastal walks. Easy walking distance to Tesco and the Clickimin Leisure Complex, with Lerwick town centre only 1.25 miles away. There's a well equipped kitchen with a pully for drying clothes and also a good size living room. Mavine Cottage is a great base from which to explore all Shetland has to offer.
