The West Wing has been a great stay. It’s a cool 17th century house, which has been really well decorated. There’s plenty of inside and outside space to read and put your feet up with a countryside view. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment, olive oil, coffee, tea etc, and shower gel and shampoo is provided in the en suite. The owners hid some chocolate in the house as a little surprise - very thoughtful. Another thoughtful thing was offering up fresh eggs from the hens outside in the garden. The owners left lots of helpful instructions and recommendations of places to visit. They’re friendly and welcomed us at the beginning and warned us of an issue with a road before we left to help us on our way home. Location wise this Airbnb is perfect. It’s a short drive from beautiful places like Woolacombe, Croyde and Exmoor. It’s very close to the SW Coastal Path, so you can easily hire bikes in Barnstaple and ride part of the path. I would definitely stay again 😃

We had a lovely few days at Jo’s place ! Great location to explore Jurassic coast and Dorset from - only 40-45min away. Jo was a great host, friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Comfortable beds, great bed lined, comfortable sofas and lovely fire place with wood supplied. Great space for a family of four with everything you need - thank you, Jo + family !

Great house in a good spot. David and Shruti ‘s communications were very prompt and they were very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house for a larger group - very spacious and cosy with good facilities and parking. Many thanks for the stay

Bridget’s cottage was absolutely tremendous! It felt homely, warm and welcoming! It was private and out of the way without being miles away from what you needed. We stayed with our 18 month old and dog who had a lovely time too. The stair gate on the bedroom was great as it gave our son freedom to wonder about upstairs whilst we got ready. There was also plenty of room for the travel cot too. Bridget was excellent at giving local recommendations and instructions for the cottage. We tried Rye in Frome which served excellent coffee! So thank you for that too. A perfect Christmassy getaway! Felt like the holiday! Thank you so much xx

The place was amazing. Quiet, comfortable, easy, had everything you needed and with an amazing view. We would love to go back. Mo was friendly and on hand if needed but it felt private. A lovely space in a lovely place.

La maison de Lyn est superbe, propre, joliment décorée, confortable et, somme toute, très accueillante. Il y a beaucoup de place et la maison est située pas loin du centre ville. Lyn est une hôte accueillante et attentionnée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le petit déjeuner et sa gentillesse en général.

Another great stay here! This time, for a longer period of time, additional cleaning and replenishment was offered throughout. A very proactive and helpful host who obviously takes pride in their property and guests. Would highly recommend to others and consider using again in the future.

Communication from Leila was prompt and accurate. Access to the property was well described and we found it easy to locate both the property and the keys. Inside, the apartment was lovely and clean with all the facilities that we could have needed. The views from the apartment over the harbour were great and although we didn’t end up using the balcony we did open the large window/door for an hour one afternoon which was very refreshing. Couldn’t fault anything really and if we visited Ilfracombe again we would have no hesitation in staying at Leila’s apartment

The Bay House apartment was a great place for a short break. The place was clean, bright and airy with amazing views. It was lovely to sit and watch the boats and fishermen in the harbour. The bed was extremely comfortable with pristine linens. The bathroom was stocked with shower gels and shampoos. Westbay itself is a delightful little harbour town with plenty to see and do on a sunny day. Kiosks line the harbour selling ice creams, fish and chips etc. All in all I would recommend the apartment and the location.

Perfect location, central and by the park. On a busy rod but you can’t hear it from inside, it’s a quiet, cosy and calming space. We all had a great sleep, beds very comfortable. Mark was very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent accommodation, exactly as described and finished to a high specification. There is a garage to park in at the property but access is tight 6feet width! You would certainly struggle with a large car, we had a VW Golf and it was still quite tight. There is some free on street parking but this is rarely available. The property is a perfect location with a few minutes walk to the town, market and the sea front. Therefore there are several good restaurants, cafes, etc within easy reach. There are 26 steps from the street up to the door of the property and they are quite irregular. There are also steps between some rooms inside the property (2 flights of 3 steps and one single step down into the bedroom. Needs considerationvfor anyone with mobility problems. So overall, if you don’t mind the steps and a tight squeeze for your car (or no means of driving up to the property if you have a large car) then this is an excellent property to stay in. Highly recommended.

It was our second visit to Bentley Rise and we loved it as much as the first. The apartment is gorgeous and set in the most glorious gardens which are an inspiration. We enjoyed the river walk into town and two happy evenings by the wood burner. We were celebrating our joint birthdays and we felt so welcomed and had the perfect stay. We left feeling invigorated and are looking forward to coming back! Thank you so much Samantha and John

I can’t speak highly enough of the accommodation. Wonderful host - responsive, helpful and friendly. A beautiful cottage in the most stunning location. This is a lovely place to stay with beautiful views from the outside terrace. This accommodation had everything we needed and was very convenient for visiting local attractions such as Wells and Cheddar Gorge. Carol was excellent at communicating and very helpful when we needed to change our booking due to personal circumstances. Thank you for a great stay Carol and the delicious complimentary cream tea you left for us. We would definitely come back here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Loved the house, we stayed for Christmas it was perfect for our needs. The host had put up a beautiful Christmas tree for us. It was super Christmassy and a short walk into town for the lights and a few drinks in the pub. The house was warm, clean and the host was welcoming - we were so happy with everything! We had a perfect family Christmas all together with lots of space. The house is decorated querky and interesting - we loved it.

Stunning house in a gorgeous village just a short train outside of Exeter. Ideal and comfortable for our group of 11 to sleep, eat, relax and then travel into the city for an event over the weekend. Richard was excellent throughout, communicated well and was exceptionally welcoming. The house is exceptionally well equipped and more than suitable for our needs. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay, the views and surrounding area are stunning. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing short break in the sunshine, wish we could have stayed longer - perhaps next year as would love a return visit! Thanks

Beautiful house, thoughtfully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in. It is also huge so lots of space to make yourself at home. All appliances, white goods etc in perfect working order and all furniture comfortable and tidy, linens and towels very clean etc. The house throughout was very clean. Parking permits available on arrival so very easy and we had no issues with parking during our week long stay. Easy to walk to the seafront, shopping mall, aquarium etc and we enjoyed the walks. Very small asks would be to provide more dinner plates, side plates and bowls. As a family of 5 we went through everything in a day but it’s not enough to fill the dishwasher so no break from washing up on hols! A few basics like salt, pepper, oil would be welcomed to help with home cooking. As I said very small asks. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home away from home for anyone travelling to Plymouth.

WOW!! - Foxgloves Retreat is a truly magical place. As a family of 3, we have just returned from an Easter break and it was simply unbeatable. We were so well looked after from the minute we booked and arrived. Stella and Trevor were incredibly friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was fantastic. The house is absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, exceptionally well maintained and cosy too. Views over the parkland were really special - the colours, the local community enjoying themselves, lots of very happy waggly tails and birdsong. The garden is magnificent - the well manicured plants, colours and wildlife were captivating. Loved the escapism it offered, so private and extensive - great for exploring & hide and seek! The hot tub is huge, the views out were mesmerising and the sauna was a real treat after a busy day spent walking the beautiful and easily accessible coast path. Cannot wait to return in August. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Very friendly and great communication. Spacious bedrooms that are clean and tidy and are well glazed to minimise traffic noise from the main road. The property is situated near loads of amenities in Plymouth and was easy and quick to get to. The views from the rooms were lovely, tranquil and ever changing with the tide and weather. Just be mindful that to get those views there are loads of steps! There are binoculars in the main bedroom to spot wildlife when the tide is out. There aren’t any bins in the bedrooms or bathroom so had to use my dogs unused poo bags so be prepared. There is a lay-by for locals parking (3 cars) which is straight off the busy main road. I couldn’t park at the back of the property as my SUV was too big to get the right angle to park (as it’s a fairly busy narrow lane) so if you have a small-ish car you’ll be fine. Overall a lovely bungalow to base yourself in Plymouth but just be prepared for the steps and parking.

We stayed here for my hen weekend. The house was perfect for all 14 of us. Plenty of room and great fun. I would highly recommend
