Crane Lodge is in a private garden set back from the main house in a secluded wooded area 5 minutes from Orford. This is a perfect peaceful retreat for those looking for a getaway amongst nature on the Suffolk Heritage Coast - a perfect base to explore nearby Snape, Aldeburgh and Southwold. Recently renovated with mezzanine living, guests have the entire Lodge to themselves with a private entrance, terraced area for outside dining/bbq and off road parking. A tranquil haven surrounded by a wild garden, fields and ancient woodlands.The Studio was crafted by its artisan hosts using sustainable and reclaimed materials where possible. The cottage is situated in a quiet rural location set in a two acre garden including a fishing lake. Ideal for exploring the Suffolk coastal area, Aldeburgh and Southwold. The bird reserve at Minsmere, Snape Maltings and Concert Hall, forest walks as well as cycling and lovely villages and pubs to discover.

Idyllic house and gardens on estuary

A beautiful large farmhouse, dating from approximately 1600 and listed Grade II, in acres of idyllic gardens and overlooking a mile-wide river estuary. There is direct access from the bottom of the garden onto the ‘sea wall’ along the river, for walks and wonderful birdwatching. There is a duckpond (fenced) by the house and chickens (collect the eggs), and a large summerhouse with veranda in the garden, as well as a paddock of alpacas!
