Pear Tree Cottage is part of a stunning collection of cottages positioned in the grounds of the estate of Thirley Cotes Farm in Harwood Dale near Scarborough. The owner has recently converted this former cart shed into a modern, two bedroomed property with stunning panoramic views from the rear of the cottage over the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors. It has been tastefully furnished and decorated throughout with great attention to detail provided, making this cottage the perfect choice for couples and small families. Positioned in a picturesque, tranquil location right in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park area yet close to the beautiful resorts along the Yorkshire Coastline. The private hot tub and enclosed garden complete with outside furniture are just perfect for chilling with a glass of wine or dining alfresco whilst relaxing after a busy day out. There are many things to enjoy within the grounds including exploring the four acres of picturesque woodland, or doing some wildlife watching at our pond and if you are lucky you will see our own resident Barn Owl. There is also a children’s play area, amenity field where you can play football and cricket and a games room which is ideal for keeping the children occupied. The property is all on one level and would therefore be suitable for people with limited mobility. The whole area is a haven for ramblers and cyclists with numerous pathways and tracks located nearby. We are very dog friendly and look forward to welcoming your pet as we have our own resident Labradors, Mia and Murphy. Pear tree Cottage is in a great location for accessing numerous beautiful places along the Coast including; the bustling seaside resort of Scarborough just 6 miles away with its excellent pubs and restaurants, and plenty of activities for entertaining the children, or the quaint village of Robin Hoods Bay 10 miles away with its cobbled streets and smuggling history and the historic Goth town of Whitby 15 miles away with its connections with Dracula and Captain James Cook where you can enjoy a boat trip to appreciate Whitby in all its glory. There are also many pretty villages dotted along the Yorkshire Moors that provide a perfect day out exploring like; Thornton-le-Dale, Pickering, Goathland, Grosmont, Egton, Danby and Lealhom. There are also many activities and attractions nearby for everyone to enjoy including; Dalby Forest with its many cycle tracks and walks, Go Ape tree adventure and Segway adventures, Eden Camp history Museum, Flamingo Land Zoo and theme park. The beautiful city of York is only 45 minutes away. Mulberry Cottage is a luxurious, unique three bedroomed property that dates back to the 1830’s and was formerly used for housing livestock. It has recently undergone major renovations with great attention to detail provided throughout. Situated in the tranquil location of Harwood Dale, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park and boasting of breathtaking views over Broxa Forest and the North Yorkshire Moors, makes this the perfect retreat for couples and families alike. The private hot tub, enclosed garden and stunning, large glass fronted conservatory with extensive south facing views are the ideal place to relax and re-charge your batteries after a long day exploring this wonderful coastline. You can also enjoy the four acres of woodland on the estate or do some wildlife watching as Mulberry has its own resident Barn owl. Mulberry Cottage offers 3 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms all on the one level. Underfloor heating and log burner, all fuel, bed linen and towels are included. We welcome one large or two small dogs and we provide a travel cot and highchair on request. Our enclosed garden has quality teak outside furniture, the large conservatory provides seating for 6 people and the hot tub is exclusively for our Mulberry Cottage guests.
