The Weir is located in a picturesque Sri Lankan village yet is still close enough to Kandy to enable access to many of the region's popular tourist attractions.

Situated at 15 km from Kandy on the foothills of Hunasgiria mountain, Domaine de Bellevue faces a wonderful panorama and is blessed with a mild climate. As it was a tea and spices plantation, you can still see clove, pepper and cinnamon trees. The domain is surrounded by a natural reserve where numerous species live, such as deers, porcupines, monkeys, wild cats, reptiles and birds. Higher in the mountain live some leopards.
