If the Coop looks like it's outside your price range, this Whole Foods give you good prices on your food. Also a great place to get lunch. Has free wifi for you to use as well as a massage chair.

Right next to the Atalaya, it is a 2 minute walk to the start of the hiking trail. Great bookstore, and visiting the library there is certainly a must while you're here.

The rail trail is right next to our apartment, but goes up to the Railyard. Alternatively, it may be able to take you all the way out to Lamy. I haven't walked the full trail though...yet.

In my opinion, these gardens are more beautiful than those up in Santa Fe. Right next to an aquarium and hiking trails as well as the Rio Grande River.

Some of my guests always ask me about Albuquerque. Since I go down there quite a bit by train, I can say that this is the transportation center for the Amtrak and Rail Runner trains (and Grayhound).
