Causey Reservoir

It's about 45 minutes away (20 past Pine View Reservoir, and no motorized vehicles are allowed in the water. We went on a busy July 4th, but there was still plenty of space to play in the water and use our kayaks. There is also a trail you can take. It was a nice place to escape and easy to get to.

Pineview Reservoir

This place can be busy due to its size and motorized-vehicle accessibility. On holiday weekends, it can be a little crowded. However, it is only about 25 minutes from us and is a nice canyon drive. If it is full, you can continue 20 more minutes east to Causey Reservoir, which is also nice.
