Their experimental ramens are amazing. Try the breakfast ramen with "buttered toast" broth, poached egg, bacon and grilled tomato. Beautiful and secret warehouse space with lots of light, chilled vibe and good coffee.

A couple of great local cafes here. Both provide picnic blankets and will deliver your brunch/lunch to the park opposite. Great option with kids or on a beautiful day for lounging on the grass.

The best Malaysian roti in Sydney and it's open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Dishes to try: roti channai, nasi lemak, roti tissu (dessert)... but everything is good.

Get the pork & chive dumplings and the Beijing combination noodles. Braised eggplant also delicious. (Hard to find but it's under the escalator of Burlington Centre, next door to Menya Japanese.

Secret local walk along a canal that leads down to Glebe Foreshore park. There's a dog park, kids play equipment and delicious gelato (at Tramsheds) to be found along the way. Start near Sterling circuit rather than the point on the map.

Get to the south end of Maroubra beach and go for a walk along the headland. Quiet place with big rock ledges and the odd cliff fisherman. Maroubra beach is good for surf but be careful if you're not used to it because it can be rough.

Sheltered little bay (as the name suggests!). Beautiful outlook, no waves, can be good for snorkling because it's calm.

A quieter little beach than the surrounding ones. It's small and calm with nice rock ledges around the sides for sitting on without getting sandy. Parking around here on nice summer days can be hard (like most Eastern Suburbs beaches).
