This is a 5 minute drive from the house. They want to resemble a 'great room in a house' where families come to meet, eat & hang out. The menu is decent and a variety of selections. The best part is BRING THE KIDS. They have 2 large game rooms for the kids (reasonable fee). The younger room (estimate ages 2.5 to 4) has building blocks, a small play structure, play kitchen, tons of toys, etc... The older kid room has basket ball hoop, large screen TVs for console gaming, air hockey, and more ! Both rooms have staff supervision. It is a great place for the adults to have dinner and the kids are occupied. It is locally owned by a Redondo Family and they are almost always there.

Kids love it. Guesstimating 5-10 fenced in acres to include walking paths, a pond (bring small containers to catch tadpoles), picnic benches, etc. Basically it's name, a true contained/fenced area where nature is in control.
My kids love to catch tadpoles in the small pond, go on a scavenger hunt, and go on (or off) the walking paths. Pack a lunch, find, branches and just poke around nature. Bring spare clothes and shoes for the little ones (if you plan on letting them near the pond). It is free but limited hours. They have bathrooms.

Can't miss this.
Perfect for singles, couples and families covering ages 1 day to 100. This aquarium is beautiful and nicely laid out. Spend a solid half day here then walk across the street to the Bubba Gump Shrimp factory for dinner. See memorabilia from the movie. Or there are other fantastic restaurants in the Long Beach area.
Make a full day of it and book a Whale & Marine boat tour. The tours leave right from the Aquarium area.

Have young kids ages 3-11/12 ? Adventure Plex (AP) is a great place if you want a date night or just time to relax while your kids are exerting extra energy. I utilize AP for their "Parents Day Out" & "Parents Night Out" (for date nite) They have a 5 level play structure, outdoor climbing wall and obstacle course, gym and more. They have drop off weekend days and evenings and day camps during the weeks around holiday. Prices are reasonable and they discount for siblings. They are well staffed and the staff even remembers my kids from summer camp. You can also do a stay and play...kids play and there is a sitting area for parents (A great rainy day activity).

My youngest goes to Pre-K here and she LOVES it. She always comes home with a big bag of art work that she is so proud of. Even my 6 and 8 year olds love to express their creative art work and beg me to take them to studio time.
A great thing about this place is that they are all trained in the Marshall Rosenberg NVC. The teachers speak to the children in a communicative way that promotes partnership on achieving both adult and child goals together.
You never see any kids cry here....only when they have to leave!
