Arts & Culture

You can easily spend two days at the ROM, a true Canadian institution - there is something for everyone! For families, the beloved dinosaur exhibit, the bat cave and eco-gallleries. For history buffs, the Egyptian and Asian exhibits tempt, including a mummy exihibit and Temple tomb replicas. Look for special exhibits, too, that showcase global and Canadian finds of all kinds, from prehistoric digs to tattoo art to modern architecture. For Costco members, look online for discount coupons to cut the entrance fee! And for any couples or families returning to Toronto's ROM more than twice a year, the membership is an excellent deal at $145 which includes unlimited kids.

Parks & Nature

High Park has so much to offer a range of interests. The park is fully naturalized, so use its large network of woodsy paths to explore Ontario species. Grenadier Pond offers gorgeous pastoral views of bird life, sparkling water, and the Lake Ontario waterfront beyond the park - or skating in the winter. A spacious zoo with exotic species that do well in Norther climes includes capybaras, llamas, and even wallabys! For kids, a large castle playground, playstructures, a swimming pool, and a splash pad dot the park.
