Entertainment & Activities

Giant former hospital. Place of art, creation, events, food, music and mostly charity, all mixed together. People in need are hosted there and can work there. I know they do free outdoor hot tub in winter haha! Crazy DIY place full of open minded people. Not sure if they do events during the holidays, but it’s open every day. https://www.facebook.com/lesgrandsvoisins/

Extraordinary authentic parisian decor, cheap food from the past (the taste and the quality is also cheap and from the past lol so not good but interesting). It used to be a workers canteen in the 1890’s. Full of people, milling waiters, very good fun. Many tourists are going there but I like going there too, getting wasted and try the strangest old fashion french things form the menu (snails, pork feet, beef tartare, confit duck…). No booking, you generally need to queue but it’s fast when you’re only 2 people (about 20min max for dinner at the end of the week). https://www.timeout.com/paris/en/restaurants/bouillon-chartier

Sightseeing

Very touristic but charming, even for people born in Paris! Charming postcard streets up there, next to the church Sacré Coeur (avoid restaurants there, it’s usually expensive and touristic). And the main street down the hill is full of dirty sex shops. Fun clash. https://www.timeout.com/paris/en/outdoor/a-walk-through-montmartre
