One of my favorites for sure! This place is in an old barn with farming equipment and other interesting decor hanging on the wall. They provide a fantastic salad bar and some delicious ribs that they are known for!

If you're looking for a little Louisiana while you're here in Virginia, this is the place! They have a delicious dish of cajun crawfish which is one of the best I've ever had and if I'm in the mood for a delicious, thick, juicy steak, this is definitely where I go!

Love the atmosphere here! They also have vegan and gluten free options that taste just like the regular gluten-full stuff! There is free WiFi here and the owners are extremely nice.

This is just a drive through, but they have some of the best, most affordable coffee in town. Make sure you ask what the flavor of the month is!

Love this special spot! McAfee's Knob is one of the most revered spots on the Appalachian Trail and where my husband proposed to me! It's about a 4 mile hike up and back, so make sure you're ready to work for the view. That said, it is absolutely breathtaking and completely worth it!

It's about a 4 mile hike up and back, so make sure you're ready to work for the view. That said, it is absolutely breathtaking and completely worth it!
If you are looking for some fun water activities, check out SML! There are marinas where you can rent boats or sign up for a striper fishing charter. Also, you can go to the state park and lay out on a beautiful sandy beach!
