Amazing walks and views, stay low in Glen Sligachan or get up on the hill. Easy parking, hotel and bar for a drink when you come back off.

There's a great short walk from the house to the point, about 2 - 3 km, along single track lane and then grassy trail. Beautiful views all the way, follow the trail all the way to the cliff edge.

Great walking, high or low. If you like an easy trail take the path out to Rubh an Dunain, below the Cuillin, running alongside Loch Brittle. You'll see the Viking Noosts and the Dun and other ancient building ruins. A fantastic day out.

Look up SEALL online - Skye Events For All. These guys have a programme of music, theatre and comedy all year round. You can book and collect tickets on arrival at the event.

Getting Around
Book a ferry from Armadale to Mallaig and then you can drive the Road To The Isles through some of the best scenery that Scotland has to offer, all the way to Fort William, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Plenty of good stop-offs along the way. Morar is very lovely! The ferry operator is Caledonian MacBrayne and there is a timetable at the house.

This is a take-away seafood place, or you can eat al fresco beside the Shed. The quality of the seafood is good and on a nice day, to sit looking towards the hills is a fine thing. Recommend this place. Can be busy though.

You'll get a great cup of coffee here, the baking is really good and the food too. A brand new, rather beautiful building in the south end of Skye, on the Sleat Peninsula.
