This is a hidden gem in Cortez! Great food, live music and fun nightly events like crab races! The view is nice and the staff are fun and friendly. Did I mention that I work at this great place? :)

This is a local hot spot! Great live music and a fun vibe overall. If you want to hang out with the locals, come to the Duck! They offer a full bar, tons of beer and great people watching!

Robinson Preserve is a bit off the island but another one you don't want to miss. It is beautiful for walking, jogging, biking, bird watching, etc. This is fun as a group activity or can be a trip just for two. Don't forget your picnic lunch!

Publix is the only grocery on the island. However, there is one on your way to the island on Manatee Ave and 75th Street. The AMI publix is very busy on any given Saturday - as all the visitors are stocking up for the week.
