Amazing French pastries. There's a cafe where you can have a lovely meal too -- but save room for one (or two) of the desserts. The owner is a friend (tell Jean-Jacques we said hi!) and he made my brother & sister-in-law's wedding cake!

Caputo's has a little of this, a little of that, all of it wonderful. It's like a grocery store that only has incredible chocolate (best selection I've ever seen anywhere or artisan chocolate bars), prosciutto, mustards, and the like. There's also a little deli where you can have a great sandwich or salad. I recommend the half sandwich half salad combo, and get a bar of chocolate to save for later :-)

DONUTS!!! These donuts are GREAT, and they're just a few blocks away. Be careful, they're really good :-)

Great cocktails. If you like absinthe, I highly recommend the Siren or the Moon Lake.

BTG stands for "by the glass." This place has a good wine list, and one of my favorite (decadent) meals is their steak with Chateauneuf-de-Pape, followed by creme brulee with port.

Sightseeing
This is a beautiful, historic spot right at the heart of the city. Lots of history here -- the original settlers in Utah came seeking religious freedom and built all of this from nothing. It's a lovely, peaceful place, with beautifully tended grounds in addition to the lovely buildings. And you don't have to be LDS to appreciate it :-)
