Parks & Nature
Upper Park, as well as Lower Park are two of my favorite places to adventure. Mountain biking, running, taking the dog for a walk...it is all available in one of the largest parks within city limits in all of the United States.

Bidwell Park One-Mile

Lime Saddle Marina is just across town. I grew up playing on this lake and think it is a lot of fun. They have a variety of rental boats available if you want to stay and play.

Technically this is a paved trail that runs the length of town. It is built on the historic train route and is relatively shaded throughout the day. The trail starts less than a mile from the house, across from the Feather River Hospital Clinic. Great if you need to give your dog a chance to take you for a walk.

Paradise Memorial TrailwayTechnically this is a paved trail that runs the length of town. It is built on the historic train route and is relatively shaded throughout the day. So this is seriously an epic trail in the area. On your night stand there is a book called "The Flumes and Trails of Paradise." Feel free to borrow it and adventure. The outdoor opportunities here are why I love the area. Enjoy!!!

Arts & Culture
Paradise's history is "rich" in gold mining. In fact my home is rumored to have been part of an old mining camp. The underground cellar you can see when you park has stories all its own. Since buying this house, many locals have shared things they know of its history...
The museum is small, but interesting if the California gold rush is something that interests you.

I feel this place has the best vibe in Paradise. Boasting a great wine and beer selection, they meet the needs of a variety of pallets. Their food menu is simple, but delicious.

I love sushi and have a bit of a picky pallet when it comes to where I will eat. I have to pinch myself, yep its real! This place is less than a mile from my house and has some of the best sushi in the area. Pretty amazing for being in Paradise.

Having Thai food on the ridge is super convenient and Sophia's is not half bad for being in Paradise. It can be hit or miss when it comes to if they are actually open or not, but I enjoy the food when I get the opportunity to eat there.

Growing up in this community it has been fun to watch this place become what it is today. Their sustainability and environmentally friendly practices may very well blow your mind if you are like me and think that kind of thing is important for this community's future.

Conveniently located only a few miles up the road. It is a small grocery food chain local to the area. They have a pretty decent variety of organic food as well as a health food section.

A small, local health food store. The owner has been in the business of health food for over 25 years. I know this because she gave me my first job as a teenager working with her. Not a huge variety, and there are larger places in Chico, but I love that we have a place so convenient and friendly.
