Call first in the spring as floods can affect access. Can be crowded in the summer months but beautiful. Our favorite time to hike is in the winter months when the waterfalls turn to ice.

Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center

Less crowed than Starved Rock but just as beautiful with access to the Vermilion River. Their are 2 main entrances along Rt 178 and then our "secret" entrance - Head South on Rt 178 to Rt 71. Right on Rt 71 to Deer Park Country Club (Deer Park Ln) entrance. Follow access road all the way back to picnic shelter. Walking path from there will lead to bridge and waterfall.
