Parks & Nature
Our favorite time of day is to get up to the summit of Haleakala an hour or so before sunset, bring a couple beach chairs (warm clothes) some food/drink and just enjoy watching the sun go down over the pacific.

Our favorite time of day is to get up to the summit of Haleakala an hour or so before sunset, bring a couple beach chairs (warm clothes) some food/drink and just enjoy watching the sun go down over the pacific.
A favorite beach, very close by to just hang and people watch (surfers, windsurfers, etc...) Amazing spot to see Hawaiian green sea turtles, they come in about sunset every night to beach themselves for the evening.

Waterfall, a little touristy but easy to get to and fun in the afternoon after crowds leave -- this is only approx 10-15 minutes from the house so very convenient for quick waterfall swim!

Long white sandy beach - wonderful in the morning for a long beach walk... Afternoon can get windy so recommend mornings! At the end of the beach is "Baby Beach" where you can swim in a protected reef area. Gorgeous and often you will see turtles.
