A long, bumpy, dusty drive, but probably the driest spot on the island. Be warned about driving rental cars out here. Tow trucks charge $1000 to come get you.

Incredible views of the Na Pali Coast and awesome summer snorkeling! Parking is impossible after 8am, but not usually a problem late in the afternoon.

Stupendous views, but be prepared for hot, humid hiking on muddy trails with steep cliffs. Finding a legal parking space after 8am can be impossible. Kauai County is happy to write lots of tickets on rental cars several times each day.

If you are looking for a budget rental car, they have the best rates on the island. They rent used cars, but this can be a real bonus while driving around and parking. You will look like a local rather than a tourist.
